Seeing all the commotion that was forming on the coast, he decided to go find Will and see what was happening.

Elizabeth: Will! Why is this happening?
Will: I don't know. (•••) You look beautiful.
Elizabeth: It's bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding.
Governor Swann: (Between the crowd and the guards) There she is! Let me pass!
Guards: (They cover the way for the governor)
Governor Swann: Stand your men down at once! Do you hear me?
Cutler Beckett: (He turns around showing his face to those involved) Governor Weatherby Swann. It's been too long.
Governor Swann: Cutler Beckett?
Beckett: It's lord now, actually.
Guards: (They give the pass to Weatherby)
Governor Swann: Lord or not, you have no reason, and no authority to arrest this man.
Beckett: Oh, in fact I do. Master Mercer!
Mercer: (He gives the warrant to Beckett)
Beckett: (Receiving the warrant) The warrant to arrest one William Turner. (Gives the warrant to the governor)
Governor Swann: (Looking to the warrant) But this warrant is to arrest Elizabeth Swann. (Gives back the warrant)
Beckett: Ah, is it? Sorry I was wrong. Arrest her!
Elizabeth: With what charge?!
Will: No!
Beckett: Aha, this one is for William Turner. (Gives the other warrant to the governor) And I have another for Mr. James Norrington! Is he present?!
Elizabeth: What are the charges?!
Governor Swann: Commodore Norrington resigned his title recently, sir.
Beckett: That doesn't answer the question I asked you.
Will: Lord Beckett! In the category of unanswered questions...
Elizabeth: ...We are under the jurisdiction of the King and his Governor at Port Royal. I request that you tell us why you are arresting us.
Governor Swann: (Reading the warrant) The charge is conspiracy to free a man and a woman guilty of crimes against the crown and the empire and also convicted.  For which...
Beckett: ...For which I fear that the punishment is also hanging. (Aproaches Will) Perhaps you remember a certain pirate, named Jack Sparrow.
Will & Elizabeth: (In unison) Captain!
Elizabeth: Captain Jack Sparrow.
Beckett: Captain Jack Sparrow…yes, I thought you might. I imagine then that you also know Miss Ruby Evans. Woman who works as Jack Sparrow's first mate.
Will: She's not first mate!
Elizabeth: It's much more than that!
Marianne Evans: (Arrives the same way Governor Swann arrived) That woman died some years ago.
Mercer: Excuse me, but that woman is not dead, ma'am I was told that they saw her a few days ago, in the company of Sparrow.
Beckett: Did you know that woman, ma'am?
Marianne: I've heard of her and I've seen her a couple of times. But nothing else.
Beckett: That's what I thought. To his guards) Take the prisoners!
