Chapter VII

《On a boat on the way to shore》
Will: What code must you meet if the worst happens?
Jack: The pirate code...
Ruby: Jack, have you been drinking too much rum lately?
Jack: ...The man who loses his way is left behind.
Ruby: So there are no heroes among pirates?
Jack: You know, for having such a bleak outlook on pirates, you are well on your way to becoming one. Specially you, Turner. Sprung a man from jail... commandeered a ship of the fleet, you both sailed with a buccaneer crew out of Tortuga... and you're completely obsessed with treasure, Will.

《Upon reaching the coast and getting off the boat》

Will: That is not true…I am not obsessed with treasure!

ack: Not all treasure is silver and gold, mate.
Ruby: Elizabeth... She's your treasure, Will.

The three leaned out between two rocks and watched as Barbossa led the ritual with Elizabeth tied next to him.

《Whispering when Barbossa opens Cortés' chest》
Ruby: That's a lot of gold.
Jack: But you don't want to know what happens if you steal even one piece.
Will: (Sees how they are about to make the sacrifice with Elizabeth) Jack!
Jack: Still!  Wait, the time will come. (Starts walking)
Will: When it will be?  When is it worth more to you?
Ruby: Will! Don't be so ungrateful! Jack is helping you get back the girl you are in love with, and you talk to him like this?! Jack is the one with the most experience among the three of us. He knows what to do! Also, we do this all for you! You don't even know if Elizabeth feels the same way you feel about her!
Jack: Thank you very much, Apple Pie. (•••) As for you, Turner... I'm going to ask you a single question. Have I ever given you reason not to trust me?
Ruby: I have the same doubt.
Jack: Do us a favor. It will be difficult for you. You must stay here. And don't try something... stupid.
Ruby: You heard, Will. (•••) Where are we going now, Jack?
Jack: No! We are not going. You also have to stay here.

uby: (A little sad) I get it.

Jack began to approach Barbossa trusting that Will and Ruby would not move from where he had told them.

Will: (Pick up an oar from the ground)

Ruby: What are you doing, Will?
Will: I can't wait anymore.

Will began to walk to where Jack was, intending to hit him with the oar and knock him unconscious, to rescue Elizabeth. Ruby followed to try to stop him, but her attempts were in vain.

Ruby: Will! Jack knows what to do!  And if he told us to stay here, it's for a reason!

Will ignored who he used to call friend, and hit Jack.

Ruby: Will! What are you doing?!

Will: (Ignoring Ruby) Sorry, Jack. I can't wait on this. (He leaves to go find Elizabeth)
Ruby: Jack! Are you ok?

Ruby stayed with Jack to make sure nothing bad had happened to him.

Barbossa, after making the sacrifice with Elizabeth and realizing that the curse was still going on, threw her out of the pile of gold they were standing on and began to argue with her crew members. While they argued, Will took advantage of going with Elizabeth and taking her to the Interceptor to make sure she was safe, regardless of what would happen to Jack and Ruby.

When Barbossa noticed that Elizabeth was no longer there, and that she had taken the medallion, he sent his crew to look for her but they soon found Jack and Ruby.

Jack: (Whispering to Ruby) Don't make a sound.
Ragetti: (Looks at jack) You!
Pintel: (To Jack) You should have died!
Jack: I'm still alive?
Ragetti: And who is she?
Jack: She? (Looks at Ruby) Who is she? (To Ruby) Who are you?
Ruby: What if we better go?

Ruby grabbed Jack's arm and they turned to leave, but behind them there were also pirates of Barbossa's crew, leaving them both surrounded and without escape.  Soon, on both sides, guns, swords, and knives began to be aimed at them.

Jack: Parli... Parlelerum... Parle... Parshipto... Shipar... Parle, parle...
Ruby: Parley?
J

ack: Yes! That! Parley!

Ruby: Parley!
Pintel: Parley? May a bad lightning strike the inventor of that Parley!
Jack: The French.

《At the Interceptor》
Elizabeth: (Sees the crew as they board the Interceptor) No more pirates.
Gibbs: Welcome aboard, Miss Elizabeth!
Elizabeth: Master Gibbs?
Gibbs: (To Will) Hey kid, where are Jack and Ruby?
Elizabeth: Jack Sparrow?! Ruby? Ruby Evans!
Will: They lost their way.
Gibbs: (Sad but with spirit) Don't forget the code!
Ana María: Drop anchors! Prepare the sails! Get to work!
Gibbs: (Sad talking alone) Jack Sparrow, so many years of company... And you Little Ruby, so young...

《In the cabin》

Elizabeth: Will, what happened with Ruby?
Will: I already told. Jack and Ruby lost their way.
Elizabeth: I don't know why I don't believe you, Will.  I'm trying to do it, but as much as I try, I can't believe you.
Will: Do not believe me.  But at least thank me that I saved your life.
Elizabeth: Anything you want, but I'm not going back to Port Royal.  Not without first finding my friend.
Will: I already told you what happened to her. And in case she was still alive, do you think she would want to go back to Port Royal? With all that she has suffered? If we find her, I assure you that she will not return with us, she will choose a pirate life. She told that to me.
Elizabeth: I'm not interested in going back with her. I just want to see her, say hello... and then goodbye. Wish her the best. Let her know that we will always be friends.
Will: You would have to tell her that.  What matters now is that you are fine.
Elizabeth: What's happening to you, Will? Ruby is your best friend! You are no longer interested? Wasn't she the one who saved you from the shipwreck and who you payed with your friendship?
Will: It was you who saved me from the shipwreck! And I want to pay you with much more than my friendship. I want to pay you with my love.
Elizabeth: And what about Ruby?
Will: She is not the same Ruby I met eight years ago.  (•••) But stop thinking about it for a while and be grateful that you are alive.
Elizabeth: Better you appreciate that I love you too. Because otherwise, I would have forced you to go back to find Ruby, and maybe Jack.
