《At the Black Pearl》
Gibbs: (To Jack) Where's the commodore?
Jack: Fell behind.
Gibbs: My prayers be with him. And what happened with Ruby? Did she left with the commodore?
Jack: Ruby? Ruby! Where's Ruby? Ruby isn't here!
Gibbs: I thought you knew.
Jack: And I thought she was here at the Pearl! (Yelling at Will) Turner! Where is Ruby?!
Will: She didn't came with us!
Gibbs: Well, life goes on. The important thing is that you came back. And you were able to escape the Dutchman.
Jack: Yes! We were able to escape the Dutchman but my life can't go on without her!
Gibbs: (With more compassion) You've never been so in love with a girl, Captain.
Jack: I don't know what to do! I don't know what to think! Where is she now?
Elizabeth: (Aproaches) There are two options, Jack: or she left with Norrington, or she stayed on Isla Cruces.
Will: (Aproaches) Or she could also have been captured by the Dutchman crew.
Jack: I would accept whatever it was, but I would never forgive myself for that.
Elizabeth: Will, I don't think that happened. Besides, Ruby knows how to defend herself.
Jack: I want to believe she's ok.
Elizabeth: Jack, look at me. (Grabs him by his chin and turns him to look at her) You're not alone in this.
Jack: (Calmer looking into Elizabeth's eyes) I know.
Gibbs: Would you feel safer if we went to talk to Tia Dalma, Captain?
Jack: (Nods)

Just seconds after Gibbs proposed to go to the voodoo witch's hut, the Flying Dutchman appeared from the bottom of the sea with Ruby being held by Maccus and Clanker, two of Jones's strongest pirates.

Gibbs: Lord on high, deliver us. (He crosses himself)
Will: Who is she?!
Ruby: Will! It's me! Ruby!
Koleniko: (To Ruby) You better shut up! (He covers her mouth with a piece of cloth so as not to let her speak)
Marty: You can't hurt Flame!
Jack: I'll handle this, mate. (To Davy Jones) Oi! Pulpo! Fishface! I see you haven't learned!
Davy Jones: Why not? Eh?!
Jack: Just analyze your actions! You already have the punishment of a goddess and still threaten another!
Davy Jones: Do not think that you will convince me so easily!
Jack: Oh no? (Picks up the jar of dirt) Then look at this! Lose something?! Eh?! (He falls but manages to protect the jar from breaking) Got it!
Davy Jones: So you want to negotiate! Eh!?
Jack: Slimy git! Look what I got! (Singing and mocking) I got a jar of dirt! I got a jar of dirt! And guess what's inside it!?
Davy Jones: (To his crew members) Enough!

The Flying Dutchman began to aim his cannons at the Black Pearl. Ruby, after much trying, managed to free herself from the cloth that Koleniko had covered her mouth with, and from Maccus and Clanker's hands.

Ruby: (To Davy Jones) Do not shoot!

《At the Pearl》
Jack: (Sorry for what I had caused) Hard to starboard?
Elizabeth: (Yelling and giving the order) Hard to starboard!
Will: Brace up the foreyard!

《At the Flying Dutchman》
Davy Jones: Hard to starboard! Send his beloved Pearl back to the depths!
Ruby: You would not dare to shoot!
Davy Jones: (Daring) Are you sure I would not? (Looks at Maccus)
Maccus: (Understanding Davy Jones' gaze) Fire!
Ruby: No!

《After attacking》
Davy Jones: (Sees that the Pearl is moving away pretty fast) Let them taste the triple guns.
Ruby: Don't you dare.
Davy Jones: (To Ruby) If you give your opinion again, I swear I'm going to throw you into the sea. (•••) Ogilvey, the triple guns!
Ogilvey: Aye, captain.
