"Steve?" Bucky shouted, wandering almost aimlessly around the battlefield. His gun was dangling down by his side and his hair was a mess.

Bucky had no idea if they won or lost.

"Buck?" Sam asked, running up to the ex assassin.

"Sam? Where's Steve? Where's the others?" Bucky asked.

"I don't know. One minute Steve was there, the next he wasn't. Let's try and find everyone else and figure out what's happening." Sam said, placing a hand on Bucky's shoulder and helping him try to find their friend.

Steve was gone. Not gone as in dead but disappeared. Him and half of the population just turned to dust.

Thanos had won. And the Avengers? Well, they were losing hope.

Tony had finally arrived back to Earth with Nebula. He was weak and frail, that was too be expected considering he was in space for two weeks.

While Tony was recovering, Sam and Rhodey were rallying the remaining Avengers to help with those who weren't dusted. To get supplies to those who needed it and to provide counselling.

After five months of sleeping wherever he could find shelter, Bucky finally had a home. Sam had found him sleeping in the gutters.

"The fuck are you doing Buck?" Sam asked, waking the man up.

Not expecting it, Bucky grabbed his knife and held it against Sams throat.

Eyes widening, Bucky finally recognised who he was pinning against the wall. "Fuck. Sorry." Bucky said, unpinning Sam from the wall and putting his knife away.

"It's ok. Now why are you sleeping in the streets? I told you that you're welcome to my place. I need the extra help anyways, looking after a five year old and an infant is hard work by myself."

"You have kids?" Bucky asked.

"No, they're my nephews. My sister Sarah was one of the dusted and there isn't anyone else to look after them." Sam said.

"I'm sorry." Bucky said.

"It's fine. Everyone lost somebody. Now come on, you're coming with me. I hope you like kids." Sam joked.

"I haven't been around kids in nearly 100 years Sam." Bucky said and walked with Sam to his car.

The car ride to Sams home town was quiet. After half of the worlds population was dusted away, the roads were quiet and deserted.

Bucky stared out of the car windows, watching the scenery changing. His grip on his small bag of belongings tightened slightly before releasing the bag.
