Avengers One Shots Part Two!

First request! This was requested by asandefur05 and I hope you like it :) I've changed some parts of it but it's still similar.

Peters shitty life all started when his Uncle Ben was shot and killed in front of him. He could still remember that day like it was yesterday.

May was angry and she took the anger out on Peter. She forced him to become mute and whenever anyone asked, she would say that it was due to the shock of his uncle getting shot in front of him and they believed.

Peter woke up in the small cupboard that was his room and went out. He got dressed quickly and ran off to school.

"Hey Pete."
Ned said.

"Hey Ned."
Peters phone said.

Ever since Ned found out that Peter was mute, he made an app that was much quicker than the other apps so that the two could communicate easier.

The bell rang and they hurried off to their class.

The final bell rang and everyone ran out of hell.

"Bye Ned."
Peters phone said.

"Bye Pete, see you tomorrow."
Ned said back and they walked in opposite directions.

Peter slipped down into an alley and changed into his Spidey suit.

He swung to the Avengers Tower where he had an 'internship'.

"Hey Pete."
Tony said.

"Hey Mr Stark."
Peters phone said and he took his mask off.

"How was school?"
Tony asked.

"It was fine."
Peters phone said.

Tony nodded and they started tinkering with an old Iron Man suit.

"Want something to eat?"
Tony asked.

"Just water would be fine Mr Stark."
Peters phone said.

"You sure?"
Tony asked.

"Yeah. I'm not that hungry Mr Stark."

"Ok. Hey, FRI, how long have we been in here for?"
Tony asked.

"Three hours Boss."
FRIDAY said.

"And Pepper is gonna kill us."
Tony said.

"Wanna watch some tv?"
Tony asked.

"Sure."

The two went out of the lab and went to the living area to join the others who were watching a programme.

"Hey guys."
Tony said.

Everyone either nodded, waved or said 'hi' to the two. Apart from Bucky. He looked curiously at Peter for a few seconds before looking back to the tv. He knew something was off about the kid but couldn't tell what.

Peter looked at his phone and saw that the time was 8:25pm. His eyes widened. May wasn't gonna be happy.

"I have to go now Mr Stark. I'll see you tomorrow."
Peter typed out quickly.

"Ok kid. I'll see you tomorrow."
Tony said.

Peter left the tower and sprinted home.

"Why's he using his phone to talk?"
Sam asked.

"He's mute. His aunt said that the trauma of losing his uncle right in front of him caused him to go mute."
Tony explained.

Bucky left the tower and followed Peter discreetly.

He looked into the window of Peter and his aunts apartment.

Bucky saw the woman that was meant to be looking after the boy hit him repeatedly, smash an empty beer bottle over his head, causing it to bleed, and shoving him into the cupboard.

Bucky growled softly. He opened the window and creeped inside the apartment.

He pulled his gun out of its holster.

"Who the fuck is you?"
The woman slurred out.

Bucky didn't say anything and just aimed the gun at her head.

"Why have a gun?"
May hiccuped.

Bucky took the safety off and pulled the trigger. May fell down to the floor with a bullet in the middle of her head.

He checked the woman's pulse to make sure that she was dead and opened the cupboard that Peter had been shoved into.

The boy scrambled into the corner.

"It's fine. She's not gonna hurt you anymore."
Bucky said softly.

"What about you?"
Peter signed shakily.

"I'm not gonna hurt you either. You can trust me."
Bucky said, stretching his right hand out to Peter.

Peter took Buckys hand and let the man lift him up. Peter wrapped his legs around Buckys waist and they went back to the tower to the Med-Bay.

"Barnes, why was I alerted that my kid was in the Med-Bay?"
Tony asked.

"He was getting abused by his aunt. Shot his aunt and got him out of there."
Bucky said.

The doctor came out of the room that Peter was in.

"Mr Barnes, Mr Stark?"
The doctor asked.

"How's Peter?"
Tony asked.

"His wounds have all healed but we're gonna keep him in for a few days to make sure that he's fine."
The man said.

"He actually asked for Mr Barnes to come and see him."
The doctor asked.

"Ok."
Bucky said and went into the room where Peter was lying on a bed with tubes going into his arms.

"Hey Peter."
Bucky said and sat on the chair.

Peter made a 'come here' motion with his hands and hugged Bucky tightly.

"Thank you."
Peter whispered, his voice croaky from the lack of use over the years.

Bucky hugged the kid tighter.

"You're welcome."
Bucky whispered back.
