(also i totally don't relate to that picture haha (i have a crush on an online friend and i know that they're bi but i don't know if they like me like that lmao))

Peter smiled as he opened up the package that was waiting for them at the front desk of the apartment block him and May lived in. The package contained 100 worms on strings, all in different colours with black string.

Peter took the sellotape and the scissors and stuck a pink worm, a purple worm and a blue worm to the top of the window frame and stuck a yellow worm, a white worm, a purple worm and a black worm to the top of their door.

They then stuck the other worms in random patterns on their ceiling, using his sticky hands and feet to grip to the walls.

"Done." Peter said, looking around his room with pride on his face. (see what i did there?)

"She won't know will she? May doesn't even know what non-binary is." Peter said, pacing around their smallish room, walking onto the walls and ceiling when he ran out of floor space.

"Peter! I'm home!" May shouted, closing the door with a slight slam.

"Oh shit." Peter said and fell down to the floor silently. "Hey May." Peter said, walking out of his room and greeted May with a warm smile.

May gave Peter a look and took her glasses off. "Are you ok? You look troubled." May said, placing her glasses on the counter.

"May, I uh. I need to um, I need to tell you something." Peter said nervously, fiddling with their hoodie sleeves, pushing them up and back down.

"What is it? You can tell me anything." May said.

"I'm uh. I'm bisexual, I'm attracted to boys, girls, non-binary people. And uh," Peter took a deep breath. "I'm also non-binary." Peter said, closing his eyes tightly.

"That changes nothing Peter, are you still going by that name or are you changing it, and what about your pronouns?" May asked so that she didn't accidentally misgender the teen standing in front of her.

Peter opened his eyes and smiled widely. "I'm still going by Peter and my pronouns are he/they. I don't mind being called your nephew." Peter said.

"Ok, you know that no matter what you tell me, I'll still love you no matter what. You'll always be my nephew and I'll always be your aunt, even if you're old with a family of your own, I'll never stop being your aunt." May said warmly.

Peter couldn't hold the tears back. He rushed forwards and engulfed May in a tight hug.

"I love you aunt May." Peter sobbed out.

"I love you too Peter." May said, hugging Peter back tightly.

"Peter?" May asked, knocking on Peters door. "Can I come in?" She asked.

"Uh yeah!" Peter shouted back. May opened the door and got hit in the face by the worms that Peter put up the previous day.

"When did you put these up?" May asked, gently flicking one of the yellow ones.

"Yesterday." Peter replied.

"They're nice. Anyways, I've got your washing here." May said, placing the small pile of clothes on their bed.

"Thanks May!" Peter said and stood up to put the clothes away.

"Is that the bisexual flag? The worms above the window. And are the worms above the door the non-binary flag?" May asked.

"Uh yeah. How did you know about the flags?" Peter asked.

"I googled them." May said casually before leaving the room.

"Oh." Peter said and smiled.
