Bucky smiled to himself, looking at the card in his hand.
It was his and Sams first Valentines together, last year they were on separate missions so they couldn't celebrate together and Bucky wanted it to be special.
He entered their room and belly flopped onto Sam.
"Oof." Sam said, going up on his hands and knees and pushing Bucky off. (we did that in training before the pandemic and it was so fun, i managed to push two boys off my back)
"Hey." Bucky said, hiding the card.
"Hey." Sam said back.
"I have a surprise for you." Bucky said.
"I thought we weren't getting anything for each other?" Sam asked.
"I know but as soon as I saw this, I thought of you." Bucky said.
"I swear to fuck Barnes, if it's something bird related, I will not hesitate to strangle you." Sam said, looking Bucky in the eyes.
"It's not don't worry."
"What is it then?"
"Here!" Bucky said and passed the card to Sam.
Sam stared at the front before looking at Bucky with a resting bitch face.
"Seriously Barnes?" Sam asked.
The card had pictures of Steve on it, saying: Roses Are Red, Cap Was Frozen, You Are The One, I Have Chosen. (the card at the top)
"Yeah." Bucky said before screeching as Sam straddled him and started smothering him with a pillow.
"Stop! Stop! I'm sorry!" Bucky said, his words muffled from the pillow.
Bucky hurriedly tapped Sams leg twice and Sam stopped smothering him.
"You ok?" Sam asked, concern laced within his voice.
"Yeah, just panicked a bit." Bucky said, reassuring Sam by stroking his thigh.
"Sorry."
"Not your fault." Bucky said and smiled up at his boyfriend, Sam smiled back and dropped the pillow and card next to them.
"Do you like the card?" Bucky asked, smirking.
"I hate it." Sam said, getting up off Bucky and propping the card on a shelf.
"I need a shower." Bucky whined, raking a hand through his greasy hair.
"I suppose that was a hint?" Sam asked, crossing his arms.
"Yes. Now come on. It's Valentine's day." Bucky said, getting up off their bed and into their bathroom.
"I'm coming." Sam said, and closed the bathroom door.
