i love shang-chi so much. it just occurred to me that shang-chi and peter are close in age (compared to the other avengers) so they'll probably have a similar sense of humour.

Everyone was waiting for Bruce to arrive to the meeting. Apparently he was bringing someone who was joining the Avengers and they were currently ten minutes late.

"Come on Brucie, hurry up." Tony whined, he just wanted the meeting to start.

"Hypocrite." Clint muttered.

"What's that supposed to mean, Katniss?" Tony asked.

"Nothing. I didn't even say anything." Clint put his arms up.

Tony stood up and took Clint by the shirt. "What did you mean by calling me a hypocrite?"

"Tony, Clint. Enough." Steve sighed.

Wanda had brought up popcorn and shared it between her, Natasha, Yelena, Bucky, Sam and Peter. The small group all leaned back and enjoyed the show.

"No. Not until I know what he meant." Tony said.

"I called you a hypocrite because you're always late to meetings and now you know how everyone else feels when we can't start the meeting cause you're late." Clint said, his face slowly turning red from lack of oxygen.

"I don't think I want to know what happened here." Bruce said, announcing his appearance.

"Ah Brucie! Right on time." Tony put Clint down and dusted his clothes. The two Avengers sat down and Steve payed more attention to them to make sure nothing else happened.

Wanda, Natasha, Yelena, Bucky, Sam and Peter quickly put their popcorn away before Steve could scold them for eating in the meeting room.

"Anyways, guys this is Shaun or Shang-Chi. His father was The Mandarin, the leader of the Ten Rings." Bruce said, shooting a nervous look towards Tony.

Tony crossed his arms and looked Shang-Chi up and down. "And how do we know that you're not like your father? Will you kidnap us and torture us?"

"It wasn't actually my father who did that, technically speaking but I'm not my father Mr Stark I can assure you that. My father is dead and I gained the Ten Rings from him before he died." Shang-Chi explained. (tony leung is hot, don't @ me)

"Hey I know you!" Peter said, interrupting the serious conversation. "You're the guy on the cover of my accounting textboo-"

Peter didn't manage to finish his sentence before Shang-Chi grabbed his shirt, making him shut up.

"You shut your mouth right now." Shang-Chi said.

Peter nodded and Shang-Chi let go of his shirt.

"Sorry about that." Shang-Chi apologised.

~~~
Peter casually placed his accounting textbook down on the coffee table in the living area knowing that everyone will see it.
Shang-Chi walked in drinking a bottle of water and looked between Peter and the textbook. "Peter. I suggest you put that away."
"I have no idea what you're talking about." Peter faked his innocence.
"I think you'll find that you do."
"I think you'll find that I don't." Peter sassed back. Shang-Chi and Peter stared at each other for several minutes before Peter slowly slid his textbook off the table.
"Good." Shang-Chi said and left Peter alone.
Peter breathed out. "He's scary."
~~~

"Where are you taking me?" Peter asked.

"Somewhere." Shang-Chi said.

"Are you going to kill me? Cause I kept trying to show the others what you did before you became a hero?" Peter asked, growing nervous.

"I'm not going to kill you. Yet." Shang-Chi said before parking the car on a dark street.

"Holy shit you're going to kill me. Tell Mr Stark thanks for everything and tell my Aunt May that I love her." Peter said, drawing the cross over his body and putting his hands together like he was praying.

"Out the car Parker." Shang-Chi said, already leaving the car, Peter scrambled to follow the other.

His Spidey sense wasn't tingling so he knew that Shang-Chi wasn't going to kill him. Probably. But he wasn't sure what was happening.

Shang-Chi opened a door to a building and nodded to the guy sitting there.

"They're in your usual room." The guy said.

"Thanks." Shang-Chi said and walked towards the room.

"What's happening?" Peter whispered.

"You'll see." Shang-Chi whispered back as he opened the door to a dark room.

"Shaun!" Someone shouted, hugging Shang-Chi tightly.

"Katy!" Shang-Chi shouted back and hugged 'Katy'.

"Peter, this is Katy. She's my best friend."

"Hi."

"It's so nice to meet you." Katy said, hugging Peter.

"Nice to meet you too." Peter hugged back.

"This is my sister Xialing."

Xialing just nodded at Peter.

"Scott?" Peter asked, noticing the other superhero.

"Hey Pete! I didn't know you were friends with Shaun as well." Scott said.

"Yeah, it's a newish friendship." Peter replied.

"Ok so you know Scott and then this other guy is Wong, he's pretty cool."

"I know Wong! He's Mr Doctor Stranges friend."

"Peter." Wong nodded.

"Alright, let's get this started!" Shang-Chi said.

~~~
"Holy shit! That was awesome! Thanks for letting me join in on your karaoke night Shang-Chi." Peter said, hyped up on sugary drinks.
"No problem Peter. Now let's get you back to the tower, I promised Tony you'd be back before 3am." Shang-Chi said. "And call me Shaun."
"Ok Shaun. Thanks again Shaun." Peter said.
~~~

"How did you enjoy the karaoke night Pete?" Tony asked when Peter got back.

"It was awesome Mr Stark! I didn't know Wong could sing like that!"

"Wong? As in Stranges friend?"

"Yeah!"
