Avengers One Shots Part Two!

"This is for you!"

scott lang is a loveable dumbass <3 plus i haven't really written much of him so here's a scott lang centric fic :)

Thor: Love and Thunder spoilers (slight maybe idk)

Scott/Hope, Sambucky, Pepper/Tony, Lokius (all ships apart from Scott/Hope are like implied)

It was the time of the year that Scott looked forward to the most. The Avengers basketball game. It only happened once a year due to everyone having different schedules.

Scott sat up in bed, turned to Hope and pressed a kiss to her forehead before jumping out of bed. He jumped into the shower, muffling a yelp when he forgot to let the water warm up and was hit with a blast of cold water.

"Don't forget to let the water warm up." Hope said as she walked into the bathroom to brush her teeth.

"I didn't forget Hope!" Scott said, sighing inaudibly when the water finally warmed up.

"Uh huh." Hope said.

"Wake up my little bug!" Scott said as he knocked on Cassies door.

"I'm up Daddy!" Cassie shouted, opening her door and jumping into Scott's arms. The father daughter duo walked into the kitchen where Hope was.

"Good, do you know what day it is today?" Scott asked his daughter as he set her down in her chair.

"Nope." She shook her head as well.

"It's the day of the Avengers basketball game! You can see Morgan. And watch me defeat Captain America!" Scott said and Cassie laughed.

"Is he still thinking that he can beat Captain America?" Hope asked.

"Yeah." Cassie giggled.

Hope rolled her eyes and sat down at the kitchen table. "What are we going to do with him?"

Scott stuck his tongue out and started plating the pancakes that he made.

"And then orange juice for the two traitors." Scott said putting the carton of orange juice on the table. "And apple juice for the best grandmother in the world."

The small family ate breakfast before Cassie got dressed and Scott and Hope made up water bottles for their basketball match.

"Do you think we'll be on the same team?" Scott asked.

"Hm, we were on different teams the past two years and then on the same team for three years before that so we could be but we could be on different teams." Hope said, clearly having put some previous thought into the question.

"Ok smarty pants." Scott kissed Hopes cheek before going to hurry up his daughter.

The small family arrived at the Avengers compound. Everyone's families and friends were attending.

"Jimmy?" Scott asked. "What are you doing here?"

"Scott! My friend Monica is an Avenger now so I'm here to support her." The FBI agent said.

"That's so cool! Good luck to your friend cause she's up against a master at basketball." Scott said and Hope rolled her eyes and Cassie giggled.

Jimmy looked uncertain but nodded.

The group entered the compound and headed towards the large gym hall that could comfortably fit all of the heroes and their guests.
