Chapter 18 ~ warning

I'm gonna do this story from Esmerelda's point of view to make it more heartfelt.

I head to my first class, AP black arts. It's too ur for this shit, especially hearing master Lin yelling. What the hell is up with him and his cane? Getting hit with that cane is one of the most scariest things I'd hate to go through.

Once brandy was passing a note to Marcus and master Lin has like eyes in the back of his head and broke her nose with that cane. It was absolutely fucking hilarious, I wanted to laugh out but I kept a serious face on. I get changed into my uniform and put on my boots. I decided to curl my hair and pin the side back with a Bobby pin. I hear a knock on the door and I open it to see Marcus.

"You ready?"

I nod my head and he takes my hand then we head to class. He sits next to me and master Lin starts his lecture.

"70 percent of solders don't pull the trigger in battle, no matter the stakes. The weak always choke on the face of killing. With fear of expulsion, all of your hopes and dreams, all of your family's expectations. Only one of you could do it. Esmerelda, Tell us, have you ever experienced that?"

"No, I'm not a pussy, I gotta do what I gotta do. I don't care what people think of me especially my family, they don't do as much as the killing as I do. Every single accomplishment that they have gained I was always the base of that accomplishment but no one knows that, due to them believing a girl can't do shit."

"Very nice, Tell me, what time of your life was the first time you killed someone."

"Simple, I was six years old, someone broke into my house, killed my parents then when I found my parents dead on the ground a fucking psychopath tried to kill me with his accomplice but i shot him in heart."

"So you started at a young age, impressive. Marcus, when was your first time?"

"The child home massacre, that was my first time. I killed around 30 kids."

"Did you deal with guilt?"

"Not at all."

"Astonishing, now you guys get the hell out of my class."

I don't blame Marcus for lying, I would too. I wouldn't want to ruin his reputation. Finally classes finished, I feel like he kept badgering me about my life. Next class is poison 101. After I get out of the classroom and head to the bathroom to put my hair up. Once I'm done I feel some grab my hand.

"Chico what the fuck are you doing."

"I'm here to warn you."

"About what?"

"I'd watch your back around Maria and Marcus."

"Why is that?"

"There's something going on between them, before you came they had something. When Marcus came for the first time he threatened me and I had a whole fight with him about Maria. She even kissed him before, so did saya. Don't you ever notice that they get real close together. That shit doesn't go away so easy Esmerelda."

"Why should I believe you? Not too long along you almost killed me."

"I swear on "Samantha's grave".

So he's not lying, Samantha or sam as we called her was our best friend when we were little. She was killed by a drive by. It broke our hearts, we wouldn't stop crying for days.

"Doesn't matter, it was a long time ago. Your with Maria and I'm with Marcus. Let's just leave it at that."

"Fine but if Marcus breaks your heart because of Maria, then it's not My fault."

"Get the hell away from her Chico."

Marcus immediately walks up to us.

"No empieza con tu estupidez, remember what i said Esmerelda. It never goes away so fast."

"Are you alright?"

"I'm fine, let's go."

I head into class and couldn't get chico's words out of my head, now that I'm really thinking about it they do seem awfully close. I'm just being paranoid, right?

I start tapping my foot on the floor and I can't seem to stay still. I feel Marcus put his hand in thigh to calm me down. When class is done I immediately felt relieved, I stayed quiet for the whole class. I run to my room and take a deep breath. I take My pack of cigarettes and lighter then I head up to the roof.

I light up my cigarette and stared at the sun set, I know I shouldn't bring up old times but a part of me wants to know if what Chico said was true.

"Esmerelda?"

"Whats up?"

"I didn't know you'd be up here, mind if I join you?"

"Not at all. Can I ask you a question?"

"Go ahead."

"Did you kiss Marcus?"

Sorry guys I'm leaving you off with a cliffhanger, trust me nexts few chapters is gonna be juicy asf. So you don't wanna miss out on reading them.
