Chapter 62 - All we have are brusies

Once class is over Xavier tries to make his way to me but Marcus beats him to it.

"Am I allowed to talk to you in public or do you have any rules-"

"Fuck those rules and fuck Xavier too. I'm mad at the fact my "supposed" boyfriend made me look fucking stupid. Not only is his reputation on the line and so is mine, he's making this harder than it needs to be. God I much rather be in prison, waiting for my time of death."

"It'll be over before you know it, then you can pretend the asshole didn't exist in the first place."

"That's the plan, luckily we only have two today. I'll see you later I need a nap, I'm exhausted." I kiss his cheek and leave, luckily no one was around.

As soon as I close my door I noticed that my earring is missing. I open my door to go look for it, it's probably gone by now, but it's worth a try. I bump into Andrew and roll my eyes, I try to make my way past him but he stops me. He closes the door behind him and I sit on my bed.

"What do you want, I'm clearly trying to go somewhere."

"Looking for This?" He holds up my earring and I snatch it from him.

"I want to apologize for what Jeremiah said, it was out of line-"

"Why are you covered in blood, you should go to your room and leave me alone."

"I left him on the floor drowning in his own blood, I should have said something but I'm not one to use my words except hands."

"Well, that's morbid as hell. By the way, you know what I said is true, I've only ever had sex with two people. I don't even know why I'm telling you this. I have nothing to prove to you."

"That's cause you like me." He starts to poke my arm obnoxiously.

"In your dreams cheekbones, if you keep poking me, I will cut your fingers off-" he picks me up and throws me over his shoulder.

"I have a skirt on you pervert!!! I will punch you, Xavier!!!" I laugh and as he puts me down, my body slides down his which leads my hands to end up on his broad shoulders. Our bodies are still against each other, Cmon Esmerelda do not give in.

"Has anyone told you that you have the most perfect lips?" He breaks the silence.

"You're the first." I snap out of my trance and step back away from him, this is so wrong.

A minute later I open the door to see Jayden, saya, and Maria standing there, I awkwardly keep the door open only a certain amount.

"What can I guys help you with?"

"Did you hear about- Wait do you have a boy in here?" Maria slightly opens the door wider and sees Xavier putting on his jacket. The smile on her face immediately drops.

"Oh, it's just you. We all know about your scheme Sherlock. So we won't say anything." Maria says with a stern voice.

"I don't like you either Maria." He scoffs.

"Cállate pendejo." She yells at him.

"I found a dead guy in the bathroom, it was disgusting. Blood was everywhere, some parents is going to receive nasty news about their kid." I slowly turn my head and look at Xavier.

"I know that's not the reason why you are trying to break down my door, so what's going on?"

"Because we thought you might wanna see Billy and Lex get stuck in a vent, Willie and Marcus are trying to get them out but can't. And by everything that has been going on, we all need a good laugh."

They all leave Lex and Billy's room, and I look back to see Xavier awkwardly standing there.

"You coming or not? I know damn well that they both did something to you at one point, so might as well get a laugh out of it. I promise you this will be the funniest shit you have ever seen."

He takes a deep breath and gives in, he follows me and we see a large crowd surrounding Lex and Billy's room, dying of laughter. Marcus and Willie struggle to get the two boys out of there.

"What the hell happened you two?" I laugh.

"It was Lex's fault, he was hiding some money In the fucking vents and we're guessing it was somehow sucked up by the fan. Now we can't get out."

"Yeah yeah blame the whole thing on me mate, now please help us, I have a feeling that Marcus and Willie will decapitate us if they keep pulling." Lex whines.

"Only because you got the embarrassment you deserve, Maria can you get me coconut oil? Saya-"

"Don't worry I'm two steps ahead of you, Lex if I rip off your ears I'm not sorry and I'm doing you a favor buddy."

"Bloody hell." He cries in pain. I look through the little peephole created by the guy's head to see if the cash is still intact.

"Well, that's what you get when you two idiots try to act smart. Holy shit, a lot of it is stuck in the fan, whatever you guys did to get that money maybe wasn't worth it, because that money is dirty."

"She's right, only a fool would think to use that. It needs to be cleaned. Honestly, my advice is to burn it, all of it." Marcus says while trying to pull out Billy.

"Where did you guys even get this from? And why this much?"

"We took it off some drug dealers, he was high enough to just give it to us so..... who are we to stop him? Besides I need the money for something important. Is everyone gone?"

I look out the door and see there is no student outside, I close the door and lock it. Xavier is gone because of a phone call he received, Maria takes a handful of coconut oil and smothers it across their necks making it easier for them to be set free. Me and Saya pull Lex out of the vents while Marcus and Willie put out Billy.

"Want to tell us what's going on Billy?" We all sit on the ground while he massages his neck from all the pain that he's in.

"Don't you ever wondered how I ended up here? Marcus did me a favor but he doesn't know the whole story." Billy's face softens and I can tell that he's about to show a side that he's never shown before.

"My dad was involved with the mob even though he was a cop, he got himself into some deep shit like debt. That's how I ended up here, since my dad couldn't pay them back I was sent to kings dominion to learn and soon work for them for the rest of my life. One day Marcus and I went on a trip, we came across my dad and he tried to kill me but Marcus saved me and killed him."

A tear slides down his face and I see Marcus staring at the ground with his hand over his mouth.

"Oh Bills, what happened to your mom?" he rests his head on my shoulder and I put my arm around him to comfort him. Looks like the world is filled with shitty dads.

"it broke her heart when my brother was sent to prison, she went on a rampage that night and got into a car crash."

"I'll pay for it, Billy," I say bluntly.

"What? No, it's fine, I'll find a way." He lifts his head and crosses his legs.

"You're not going to be some fucking slave for the rest of your life, you've seen how my life is. Trust me I know damn well you don't want to be a part of that, you should be able to live in peace."

"Billy, please just forget your pride for a second. You're the person that we go to when we need a good laugh or distraction from our shitty lives, it's time for us to be there for you and please let us help you. I'll pay the other half." Saya says.

"I can't tell if I hate or love guys." We all go in for a hug except Willie, he stands in the corner with his foot against the wall while he's crossing his arms.

"I don't do hugs man-"

"Too bad, be a man and hugs us, we wouldn't want something to happen to that beautiful car of yours." he rolls his eyes and scoffs.

"Why you gotta be so mean, Esmerelda?"

"Relax a little hug never hurt anyone." We all laugh a smile slowly appears on his face, then he finally gives in.
