Marcus POV
"Keep crawling until you get to the end of the vent. Be careful with climbing over some of the metal bars, since the building is old it's possible there not able to handle your body weight."
"Body shaming me, I see how it is." I whisper quietly.
"I-"
"I know you weren't being serious, I'm just messing with you." My laugh fills up the silent vents.
"Esmerelda is truly rubbing off of you, how adorable. Ew I just can't believe I said that about my cousin, I just threw up in mouth a little."
"My knees freaking hurt, how longer do I have to go?" I wince in pain.
"Unfortunately your going to have to climb up a few vents to make it to regans office. Once your done climbing wait there until we get a signal from Esmerelda that she's stationed somewhere near his office incase you get ambushed."
"Sure whatever, ummm how am I supposed to climb up these vents? I'm not fucking Spider-Man."
"This is why Esmerelda she should of done this , she's actually trained and surprisingly doesn't complain about what she has to do as long as she gets the job done. Also she's half your size and can fit through basically anything."
"Great pep talk, thanks for having complete faith in me. Nice to know you have my back."
"I do brother, you just happen to be the easiest person to make fun of besides Billy-"
"Wait shut up I hear something, it sounds like Regan and some guy who looks oddly familiar to me. Listen, it's in Spanish."
I lean over my head to see who it is, the guy that Regan is with, he looks like someone we all know. I just can't seem to put my finger on it.
"Que mal creada es esa niña, una muchacha no debe de mandar un grupo de hombres. Que le paso por la mente cuando Christopher pensó de a ser la encargado de los Santos. Ese dinero debe a ser mío, pero esa pendeja abrió la boca y convenció su puto tío a no trabajar con migó." Harshly, The unknown man said.
Translation: that girl has been raised horribly , a girl should not be in charge of a group of men. What the hell was going though Christophers mind when he thought of making her in charge of the santos. That money should of been mine, but that bitch opened her mouth and convinced her fucking uncle not to work with me.
"Ese niña se meto en lugares adonde ella no está querida. No te preocupes wey, yo tengo planes muy grandes, ese estupido familia santos no sabe que va pasar pronto." A smirk starts to appear on Regans face.
Translation: That girl has gotten into places where she's not wanted. Don't worry, I have very big plans, that stupid Santos family doesn't know what's going to happen soon."
"Que vas a ser compa?"
Translation: what are you going to do?
"Yo voy asesinar a Esmerelda santos, Ella ruino mi vida y me robo el vida qué debe a ser mío. También voy a matar ese tipo Christopher, su ganga de el va a ser mi y de tu."
Translation: I am going to assassinate Esmerelda Santos, she ruined my life and stole my life, which should of been mine. I'm going to kill that guy Christopher too, his gang is going to be yours and mines.
They both clink their glass cups filled with whiskey and drink it.
"I didn't understand shit they said but it didn't sound good to me. I mean some of it I understand, Esmerelda usually says them to me on a daily basis but it had something to do with Esmerelda and your dad."
"Can you pronounce the words? This is why you have to learn fucking Spanish, what did they say Marcus."
"I have been studying for your information but if I'm correct, Regan and some other guy are planning on assassinating Esmerelda and your dad."
"Eres una idota!" He yells at himself causing me to jump a bit, I expect this reaction from. Two people that he cares are about are being targeted.
"How did I not expect this, I gotta warm them. I'm getting a feeling that this is starting to feel like a trap. Marcus are you still going to pull through with this? I understand if you-"
"All this shit has given me more of a reason to do it."
"Are they still in the room?"
"Just Regan, check on the outside of there's anybody guards or people around. I'm ready to jump down, I just need your sign to proceed."

Sorry that this was a short chapter, I'll make the next one longer. I don't speak formal Spanish, I'm Mexican so I like to use a lot of slang words in the story to make it more authentic and realistic. In English it might translate to a different meaning or word. If that makes sense, so if it's hard to understand I'm sorry.
