Changed Man

“Saan tayo later Sissy? Gigimik ba  tayo?” tanong ni Eunice saakin.

“Pwede naman..pero before that mag aayos muna kami ni Yaya sa condo..”

“Ay oo nga pala. Ako next week pa since di pa tapos si Dad kausapin yung agent ng condo.”

Nasa room na kami ni Eunice for our last period at kasalukuyang naghihintay sa prof namin, napaaga kasi kami ng pasok sa subject na ito since maaga natapos yung second to the last subject namin. Si Coreen naman ay nasa registrar at may pinapaayos na schedule.

“Hi babe, hi carabella!” bati ni James na kapapasok palang ng room kasunod sila Luke, na nagsipag batian din saamin ni Eunice. Bawat isa sakanila ay may tingin na ‘I know something that you don’t’, nang makapagsiupuan na sila ay doon palang pumasok ang nakasimangot na si Cian. Halatang bad mood sya, bawat bumabati sakanyang babae ay di nya pinapansin, samantalang dati talagang ineentertain nya at may time pa syang makipagflirt.

Nang madako ang tingin nya sa pwesto namin ay nagtama ang tingin namin. I did not smile at him, and he didn’t either.

Naglakad lang sya dirediretso at umupo sa tabi ko, na nereserved ko para kay Coreen. I forgot na madalas ay doon sya nakaupo sa subject na ito pag di sya nakaupo sa kabilang part ng room para makipagflirt sa mga cheerleaders na doon nakapwesto.

Without a word he puts a carton of cranberries and a styro of clubhouse on my desk.

“What’s this?” tanong ko.

“Cranberries and Clubhouse.” He answered sarcastically.

I rolled my eyes on him.

“Obviously!”masungit kong sabi sabay taas ng kilay sakanya.

“Then why do you still have to ask?!”inis nyang sabi.

“Cut the crap Cian! Bakit ba ang sungit mo? And what is this for?” sabi ko sabay turo sa mga bigay nya.

He sighed.

“I bought that for you, I was waiting for you at the Café awhile ago..but you didn’t show up. I was texting and calling but you’re ignoring all of it!” nakasimangot nyang sabi.

He is like a  child who is whining because he wasn't able  to get what he wants.

Natawa nalang ako sa inakto nya.

He glared at me.

“What’s funny Gorge?”

“Nothing it’s just that you’re acting like a child.”natatawa ko paring sabi.

“Tsss.. I can’t believed this , after what you’ve done to me…ikaw pa may ganang pagtawanan ako..you’re supposed to say sorry..and then we’re going to kiss and make up! But you did the opposite..pasalamat ka mahal kita!” he said seriously.

My eyes widen, then I burst into laughter.

Lumapit ako sakanya and I pinched both his cheeks.

“Ang cute mong mainis!” I said. Then I smiled at him. “ But Cian darling, you must know that even though you confessed to me, it won’t change anything..I’m still the Playgirl, hindi ako magbabago because of you..and you told me that you’ll me make me fall for you? Well news flash..that won’t happen!” I said confidently.

At first I thought that I saw pain passed through his eyes, but then it changed abruptly to a sly smile.

“Well let’s see Gorge, you must be forgetting something.. I am the Playboy..or should I say ‘I was a playboy’ and I can definitely make you fall for me, just wait and see my sweet gorge.”

Before I was able to react, naunahan na ako ng mga classmates namin.

“Gosh!!! Did I hear it right? He loves Carra?!”

“He said the ‘L’ word?”

“Shit?! is he serious?”

“Don’t worry girls..Cian is Cian..kahit inlove yan di maaalis ang pagka playboy nya..”

Naiiling na lang ako sa narinig ko, seriously ang lakas ng boses nila, di man lang nila naisip na naririnig naming pinagsasabi nila. They don’t even have the decency to lower their voices.

“Tss..Ang ingay!” sabi ni Cian na kinatahimik ng lahat.

Napangiti nalang ako sa inasal ni Cian. Hindi ako sanay na nagsusungit sya, being a PLAYBOY he is...he usually uses his charms, he’s always smiling and flirting with girls, he is somewhat extra friendly…pero ngayon…

I sighed.

He’s a changed man?! I don’t know..

Who knows baka part lang din ito ng laro nya, so I can’t fall inlove with the PLAYBOY! Tha’ts my major goal right now.

Or else I'll be the one who's going to end up with a broken heart.
