That Dude

“I can’t believe it, how did you do it? I mean..paano mo naconvinced si Ms. Amelia na pakuhanin tayo ng Special Quiz?” namamangha kong tanong.

After naming magbreakfast ay late na kaming dumating ng class, tapos na ang subject naming kung saan may quiz kami at ang pinaka terror na prof. ng  College Algebra ang prof namin. From the start palang ng class, she made it clear that she won’t be giving ‘any special quiz or exam’ so we’re not supposed to be absent during those days.

“Sweetheart, you’re forgetting something. Your boyfriend is Cian Collins, and no one can say no to me.” He arrogantly said then he winked at me.

I rolled my eyes.

“I could! And I would, if time comes that I have to!” I said then I smirked at him which made hIM laugh.

“Oh..don’t worry, I’m working on it..one day you’ll see time will come when you wouldn’t be able to say NO to me.”

“Dream on Collins!” I said as I removed his arm from my shoulders.

Then I walk passed him.

“Gotta go!” sabi ko.

“Hey, where are you going, it’s almost lunch..let’s eat together.”

“Sorry, I have a date with Travis..Ciao!” sabi ko then I blew a kiss on him.

(CIAN’s POV)

What did she say? She’s having a lunch with that Dude?! Seriously?! Parang nadadalas na ang pagkikita nila huh..daig pa nila mag boyfriend, the last time I checked ako parin ang boyfriend! But what the hell?! She’s not supposed to date a guy twice..it’s against her own rules and yet she went out with that Dude several times.

“Hi Cian.”

Napalingon ako ng may humawak sa braso ko, si Erica..isa sa mga naging kafling ko. Fine, if she's with that Dude, then I might as well spend some time with my girls.

“Hi Erica..” nakangiti kong sabi.

“It’s Erin..Cian.”nakasimangot nyang sabi.

“I’m just kidding Erin, alam mo naman na I will never forget your name, because your my favorite girl.” Palusot kong sabi.

“Favorite girl? Hmp! Oo nga pala madami kami..bakit kailangan pa kasi marami kami..pwede namang ako lang diba?! Am I not enough? I’m beautiful and hot..so why not stick with me?! I can make you happy..” nakanguso nyang sabi habang naglalaro ang kamay nya sa leeg ko.

Pinagtitinginan na kami ng mga dumadaan, ang intimate kasi ng hitsura namin, pano ba naman kung makalingkis iton si Erica- I mean si Erin, ay wagas.

“You know what Erin—“

“And anong favorite girl mo ako..si  Carra kaya ang favorite girl mo!”

“Carra is not my girl!”

Nanlaki ang mata nya sa sinabi ko tapos ay bigla syang ngumiti.

“Really? Eh bakit kayo palaging magkasama tsaka rumors says that she is your girlfriend na daw?” sabi nya then umirap.

“Carra is not my girl, she is my girlfriend..the rumors are true.”

“W-what?! If she’s your girlfriend then why are you cheating on her? And why is she cheating on you? Can’t you just dump her?! I am more than willing to take her place.” Nang aakit nyang sabi habang pinaglalakbay nya ang kamay nya sa balikat ko pababa sa braso.

“And why would I dump my girlfriend for a fling?! I’m not stupid Erin..besides my relationship with Carra is none of your business.” I said then I removed her hands off my arms and left her dumbfounded.

She’s crazy if she thought that she can replace Carra, she can’t  even be compared to Carra.

“Hey Cian, what’s wrong man? Bakit mukha kang pinag sakluban ng langit? Is it because of  our Princess?” sabi  ni Nate na biglang sumulpot kasama sila Luke.

“No, it’s because of some irritating girl.”

“So it’s not because of Carrabella?” sabi naman ni James habang panay ang pindot sa cellphone nya.

“I just said no right?!” naiinisng kong sabi sabay tigil sa lakad at harap sakanila. “Why is it there’s something that happened and yet I don’t know that’s why you guys are checking out my reaction?”

“Wala naman Bro.” sabi ni Luke sabay iwas tingin.

“Amethyst  is with Travis.”Sabi naman ni Shawn.

“I know.” Mabilis kong sabi.

“Oh? Ok lang sayo?” tanong ni Nate.

“Why not? We’ve been dating other people from the start, what’s the difference if she’s with that guy?”

“Well..the difference is, the guy is Travis.” Luke said.

“So what?”

“You don’t get it man.” Nailing na sabi ni Luke.

“We are talking about Travis here Dude..Travis!” sabi naman nio Shawn na naiiling.

“I don’t give a d*mn! What’s with that guy, at ganyan kayo magreact?!”

“Shit! He really don’t get it.” Says Luke.

“Let me explain it to you Bro, Travis is not you…I mean he is the exact opposite of you. he’s a one woman man, he’s someone who might change Carra’s mind about guys..about relationship, he can make Carra fall. And I don’t doubt that he can..lalo pa ngayon..he got Carra’s attention. She’s curious about him and a little bit interested.” James said.

“Yeah..he can even confused her and make her heart flutter..that’s what she told me last time we talked.” Sabi namn ni Shawn.

“I think that’s for the better. No offense man but I think I like Travis for Carra..because I know he can love her and he can take care of her..alam mo naman that she’s like a sister to us..so I want what’s the best for her.” Sabi ni Luke at nauna ng lumakad.

“I think he has a point” sabi naman ni Shawn at sumunod kay Luke.

Napatingin ako kina James, nakatingin lang din sila saakin. Tinapik nila ako sa balikat at nag umpisa ng mag lakad palayo.

I just stood there as I watched them go. Hindi parin nag sisink in saakin ang mga sinabi nila.

Will Carra fall for that guy?

Should I do something about it?

Or should I let them be together?

No..I think I can see Carra with some other guys..but with that Dude?! No way!!
