Location: Goalaria

Loudspeaker: This is your emergency broadcast system, under protocol 1 please seek shelter immediately and await instruction from government officials. The city is under attack. Those of you unable to reach a bomb shelter head to a preferably concrete or brick room without windows or head to a basement.

Police cars drove down the road escorting a convoy of military vehicles. Gunfire echoed through the city as NO forces fought insurgents. Helicopters flew over as door gunners fired onto rooftops that had been taken by insurgents.

A group of helicopters were flying in to retake part of downtown. An RPG was fired as the helicopters began landing

Pilot: Monarch 1-2 to 1-3, you are taking RPG fire from the roof ahead of you.

The RPG hit the rear of the helicopter and blew off the tail. The helicopter began spiraling towards the streets below.

Radio: 1-3 to Monarch. Mayday, we have been hit and are going down.

Radio: Dispatch to Monarch, secure the rooftops around you and rescue 1-3.

Pilot: 1-2 copies.

Radio 1-1 copies.

Radio: 1-4 ready for CAS.

The helicopters landed on their assigned roofs while 1-4 circled above using its guns on any insurgents moving in with RPGs or other forms of anti air. A squad of soldiers climbed out of a helicopter and the transports flew away from the rooftops to shuttle in more soldiers.

The soldiers dropped of defended the towers and fought their way to the ground.

Soldier: Sarge, two doors on the left. Hostages it looks like.

Sgt: I see it. Bang and clear.

The soldiers stacked up on the door and a breached moved up. He used the shotgun on the doorknob and the sergeant tossed in a flashbang. After it went off the squad stormed the room to see the blinded hostage and insurgent. One of the soldiers shot the insurgent in the head and as the body dropped the hostage ran to a wall.

Breacher: Are you alright?

Hostage: Yeah, I'm okay,

Breacher: Get to shelter.

The team continued down the tower and encountered more insurgents. They were quickly handled with a grenade and soon enough the squad reached the lobby.

Outside were tons of car wrecks and a burning helicopter. The survivors of 1-3 were using the door guns and their rifles to hold off while the pilot used a fire extinguisher to keep the flames back. Insurgents were swarming the downed helicopter and the squad tossed a grenade into a group of insurgents. Fighting increased in severity as  ore squads reached the area. Eventually an area was cleared out so CASEVAC could airlift out 1-3.

1-2 walked down the street looking for any insurgents. In the distance there was gunfire as skirmishes continued. The squad found a group of civilians and police officers holding out in a police station that was surrounded by insurgents.

Sgt: 1-2 to 1-4, we need CAS at our location, Cochetta between 67th and 68th. Friendlies in the PD and at the intersection with 68th.

Radio: 1-4 copies, beginning CAS run, keep you heads down.

The attack helicopter flew over and fired it's missiles across the entire street while unloading with the 20mm machine gun mounted under the nose. As the smoke cleared the squad approached the relieved police officers

Sgt: 1-2 to dispatch, civilians holding out at the 8th police precinct on Cochetta.

Radio: 10-4 1-2, reinforcements en route.

Radio: Leviathan 5-2 to dispatch, we have what looks to be a WMD at our location.

Radio: 10-1 that 5-2, did you say WMD?

Radio: Affirmative, a massive dirty bomb in the building. We need EODs down here now.

Loudspeaker: All civilians get to airtight rooms immediately. There is an imminent risk of contamination.

Radio: EODs en route 5-2, what is it operating on exactly? Is it a timer?

Radio: Yes, it is a timer, 43 minutes and counting,

A convoy approached the location of the WMD and EODs began defusing it, they decided not to wear the bomb squad gear while working because if it went off it wouldn't matter. Soldiers outside were engaged in firefights while the group of EODs from the GPD and the army worked on the bomb. By the time it reached 20 minutes over half of the explosive materials were removed and stored safely this allowed them access to the wire that would ignite the explosives. That wire was carefully dug out and the timer and other electronics were removed. The bomb techs did some final checks of remaining explosives and the bio hazard materials to check for another detonator before using a shotgun to finish disarming it(fun fact they actually use shotguns to disarm bombs, I cannot make this shit up. It has no pellets and the force of the shot breaks the electronics preventing it from going off). They put the materials in 50 gallon drums and sealed them before rolling it out to the convoy. The convoy packed up and escorted it back to the Goalaria military headquarters to be stored until the city was secured.

For the next week skirmishes continued in the region as NO military and police forces cleared out insurgents. This also had the benefit of removing the lingering WF presence because it was an excuse for raids in Mistral and Vacuo. Said raids ended the WF terror organization once and for all. Adam Taurus was executed by firing squad in Vacuo for his crimes against humanity and peace.
