Lemore: 2197

Location: Vale, minutes after the SA virus was dispersed via dirty bombs

Lemore, by mid 2198 he would be a marshal, back in 97 he was just a colonel. Now New Orderia has a different command structure than the US. It goes from colonel, to commander, to overseer/general, go marshal. Now there are two classes of General and a commander is the equivalent of brigadier general. Overseers don't usually get any higher than this because they end up being transfers to the RCM, if they got a promotion it would be on the NOID ranks instead of military ones. Now with that handled onto the horrors of war.

Lemore: Did those abominations attack the city or something?

Soldier: The Grimm? I don't think so, those fires are to far into the city for it to be them.

Radio: As of now the full deployment of all nearby New Orderian combat assets is occurring. Insurgent forces have released the SA virus on Vale, death tolls estimated in the thousands already. Soldiers should focus on evacuating civilians and executing any infected. Details sent to your MDTs. Execution of civilians is authorized.

Lemore: Holy shit, all captains regroup on me!

The various captains ran over with a few sergeants following. A few soldiers at the edges of the area were already shooting infected. Gunfire echoed through the city while Lemore looked for a way to handle things. Eventually he came up with a plan and took a breath.

Lemore: I want fences set up in as many places as possible, I want structures demolished to block of roads to the horde. 53-1, 53-4, and 53-9 are to get into their vehicles, take five transport trucks and go around the area. Save anyone you can and make them wear spare gas masks. Any civilian we save needs to have something hard but over their mouth. Do we have any VPD officials?

Police Captain: VPD Captain Maroon reporting.

Lemore: I need you to give us the location of somewhere we can get a muzzle of sorts. One of those things they put over the mouths of serial killers and cannibals to stop them from biting people.

Cpt Maroon: If anywhere has it the asylum does, 5 miles East of us. There is a VPD SWAT detachment there currently.

Lemore: Got it. 53-11, 53-7, take LAVs and transports over to the asylum, pick up any survivors you find and get me every mask there. I want our CE unit to start erecting watch towers and I want MG nests on those rooftops. Maroon, get every VPD officer to secure buses and start evacuating people to here. Move!

The captains split up and started to give orders to their personnel. Soldiers set up barbed wire fences and sand bags while killing infected. The 22nd Infantry was also at the site and had a hellfire unit. 

These are the tasks for all units there:

22nd Infantry- tasked with guarding those setting up defenses while the horde closed in and burning corpses to prevent reanimating.

53rd Infantry- evacuate civilians and get the muzzles from the asylum.

12th Infantry- set up light defenses and hold the line.

77th infantry- hold the line.

2nd Combat Engineers- setting up hard defenses and watchtowers, demolishing buildings to prevent movement of infected.

41st Armor- hold the line, provide support to anyone who needs it, aid in destruction of buildings.

1st Helicopter Corp- airlift out any survivors and eventually provide the way out for the NO forces. If needed they will provide limited CAS via 50 caliber machine guns mounted on the doors
