Operation Seaview part 2: 5th fleet

Operation: Seaview

Goal: Erradicate insurgent fleet located in the Pacific and in space

Units assigned: 1st Fleet, 5th fleet, 6th fleet, 1st naval-recon fleet, 3rd naval-recon, 2nd nuclear fleet.

The 5th fleet had a much easier situation to handle. Unlike the 1st they had managed to find the insurgent fleet first greatly limiting initial casualties. However after insurgents realized that they were under attack they launched fighters and bombers. 1 destroyer was hit in the rear and began to sink. Her bow rose into the air as the oil tanks ruptured. The fire was across her deck and around her. There were no survivors. The carrier called the Antarctic was deploying aircraft. Aircraft carriers have 4 anti air guns at the bow, 2 on the command tower and 2 at the back. These guns were actively shooting down insurgent aircraft while defending NO planes.

The Heroine, a battleship was taking shell after shell. Her heavy cannon in her bow was destroyed. The massive auto cannon was obliterated. Her bridge was missing a roof and 2 walls, and every window was shattered. She proceeded to sail forward every gun firing. Halfway to the enemy ships her engine took a torpedo. The crew managed to get sails up and by some divine miracle the wind was blowing at the enemy.

A/N: fun fact, modern military ships have sail riggings and if necessary can operate without an engine.

The Heroine sailed right up with 2 destroyers, the Saturn and the Mars, following. The got to the enemy with the remaining NO aircraft and fired heavy cannons at point blank range into the insurgent flagship's bridge.

The other battleship, Jupiter, was hit by enemy shells and was evacuated. The Jupiter fired her heavy cannon. The round went straight with almost no drop before sinking the enemy carrier. The NO heavy cannon is a forward facing gun, it can't be rotated. It is only in battleships and spacecraft. It fires a massive round that cut a hole straight through the insurgent carrier. It exited the other side.

The destroyer the Mercury was engaged in heavy combat. It was cut off by enemy light craft and boarded. 29 enemy combatants boarded and fired upon navy personnel. The sailors drew pistols and fired back. A navy combat team onboard was alerted and grabbed gear. They grabbed AC-2 carbines and NOSMG-6 SMGs. Upon contact with the enemy they opened fire. 1 was hit and was pulled back back by the team's medic. The other NCTSs continued shooting. After 10 minuted the insurgents were forced off the ship. In retaliation all NCTs from the Saturn, Mars and Heroine to board the enemy ships.

The NCTSs once on fought through the ships seizing 2 and scuttling 3. The Mars team managed to secure their target. A Heroine team secured the other. The other 2 Heroine and the Saturn teams had to destroy their targets.

Once news of the "Heroine's Charge" was made public the headline read: "Ship to angry to die"
