Calm before the storm

James: What now.

Agent: There was a riot in the city today, the NOPD, MCPD, NOSD, NOHP and ONI are still trying to quell it. ONI Intel teams believe it was going to occur closer and with weapons but members were stopped by a metro officer. The officers who stopped them are in critical condition. The rioters appear to be funded by the insurgency. A quick attack on the city in the form of protests. Funny thing is if one of the would be attackers hadn't been a racist idiot and attracted the attention of the officers this thing would have succeeded.

James: So the insurgency went from group of idiots shooting cops to having a navy, planes and orgaizing attacks on capitals? Who is backing them?

Agent: Apparently the Koreans and Chinese. As far as we know, and in Remnant there have been more attacks on convoys, we suspect these groups have a GATE however primitive it may be. One of the convoys hit had GATE peices like the magnets and the gas.

James: There is more isn't there?

Agent: We also have a missing HAVOC missle.

James: Wait what?! We are missing a 20 Megaton Hydrogen Bomb?! And not one person thought: Sound the alarms? I want you to notify the States, tell the US that there is a terror group with a massive nuclear bomb! Now! And get the air raid sirens going!

The agent ran out of the room and towards the elevators. A minute later and sirens began to go off. Rescue vehicles drove by and helicopters launched.

James moved to open his desk drawer when an alert appeared on a screen: Warning! Nuclear Launch!

James opened a tab and talked into a microphone.

 He began to state what would happen. Outside there was Station 76 responding preparing for the bomb. People ran for the fire station and the capital building. People went to the Sec Dov headquarters, it had multiple sub levels. James ended the broadcast and went to the top floor. He opened his computer and typed.
