Location: Somewhere on Remnant, with the same squad as the last chapter.

Sergeant: Can you 10-9 that?

Radio: Pull back, strategic bombers are coming in in 30 minutes to carpet bomb that area.

Sergeant: You heard the man, fucking move!

The soldiers started to run for the vehicles when a few Grimm came out of nowhere. Two ursa normally wouldn't be an issue but when they are running at your only escape from bombs they are a problem. The Grimm charged right through the trucks causing an LAV to be town apart and start burning and the other to roll over. The soldiers stopped and opened fire on the Grimm.

The first ursa went down after a volley of rounds but the second charged the soldiers. The sergeant was hit and flung into a tree with a gash across his chest. The other soldiers opened fire on the Grimm and brought it down. The medic ran over and looked over the sergeant.

He was bleeding from a large cut across his chest, his body armor was snapped and his gas mask  was shattered. His helmet had split and he was bleeding from the back of his head. It was obvious that he had broken ribs and he was breathing unevenly indicating lung injuries. His leg was snapped and the bone was protruding through his shin. The medic got a splint on it and bandaged whatever he could after cutting him out of the armor. The only thing they would take was the rations, weapons, and personal items(just a wallet and a lighter). The medic tossed the injured sergeant onto his back and performed a fireman's carry.

The squad regrouped and started to jog towards safety. A soldier was yelling into the radio requesting CASEVAC but was having difficulties.

Soldier: We have a man down and are stuck behind enemy lines! Need immediate evacuation!

Radio: Denied, the helicopter won't reach you before the bombs drop. You are on your own,

Soldier: I repeat, we need immediate evacuation!

Radio: Denied, good luck soldier.

The soldier put away the radio and kept running while jets flew over. The sound of 20mm guns clearing the skies was a reminder that in a moment the bombers would come. The soldiers were only four miles to the edge of the target area when they heard more Grimm. They formed a defensive circle and began firing into the tree line. They kept shooting and emptied mag after mag into the horde. Despite this the Grimm were slowly closing in and hope was dwindling.

A much louder gunshot than normal sounded and a red blur went past the troops. Grimm were knocked down with large cuts across their bodies and quickly died. The soldiers looked to the direction of the blur and saw a girl in red with a massive fucking scythe.

Corporal: I don't know who the hell you are, but thanks. Grab the sergeant and reload, bombers are clearing this area out in 5.

Ruby: We heard you over the radio and came to help, follow me.

Corporal: We have no better options, follow the kid!

The soldiers followed the girl to a clearing where a bulkhead waited in the middle with three more girls standing around it killing off Grimm.

Radio: Bombing is beginning, any personnel still in target area should brace for impact.

Two jets flew over and the trees a bit away went up in flames as napalm bombs were dropped. Explosions boomed through the forest as the bombers began their attack. The soldiers and huntresses jumped into the bulkhead and it lifted off from the clearing. A few seconds after leaving a 500 pound bomb landed in the middle and blew the entire thing up.

The bulkhead flew towards NO lines and with every second the destruction below got worse. Artillery had been set up and howitzers pummeled the area while strategic Bo,hers carpeted the target zone. During all of this CAS bombers flew over and dropped JDAMs and napalm on targets. The forest burned, and then was snuffed out as more bombs detonated. The barrage continued and more resources were joining the bombardment. The NR fleet started firing rail guns at the target and the explosions caused by that leveled a mountain. A nearby naval fleet had been called in and that was dropping shells onto anything that wasn't a 30 foot crater already.

The bulkhead landed at a nearby village that was filled with NO combat forces waiting for the bombardment to end. When the doors opened the medic carried out the sergeant who was still bleeding from his many wounds.

Medic: Get me a fucking corpsman now!

Two more medics and a corpsman ran over and and got the sergeant onto a back board before working on his injuries. Soldiers began asking questions about why the hell a squad of men showed up in a vehicle from a different nation. The corporal explained how they were caught in the barrage and the bulkhead crew heard their mayday call and picked them up.

Radio: Be advised, 1 Havoc class nuclear weapon is being deployed. Dig in at your current positions and do not advance.

Above the group a thin white line from the missile was visible and it slowly arced over the area. A few minutes passed and there was a massive flash on the horizon. Minutes passed and the shockwave hit blowing things over and cracking some windows. The soldiers meanwhile were reinforcing the village and setting up tents.

Jets continued to bomb the region into the night and artillery guns turned anything not scorched by the atom and napalm into a crater. A VNN bulkhead flew over the target area and showed the damage while the reporters talked about the horrors of New Orderian warfare. Unfortunately for the bulkhead crew the pilots didn't know about radiation and flew directly into the mushroom cloud from the nuclear bomb.

The pilot lost consciousness and the bulkhead crashed into the wasteland and left a large debris field. Vale officials contacted the NO forces and advised them of the downed aircraft. NO high command sent in the 1st CBRN Company. That is 200 men specially trained for nuclear wastelands and bio weapon attacks. They were created after the SA virus arrived on Earth and their trial by fire was the first set of SA attacks on New Orderia. In this attack they showed their ability to operate effectively in hazardous environments.
