Location: NO research base, with Kilo task force

An explosion had been reported inside the underground facility so any nearby combat forces were dispatched. The above ground site had been cut off from the underground facility and were waiting for backup before breaching. That backup included the highway patrol, the nearest military base, and Kilo.

POV: Alcos

We had pulled up in the LAV and got out. The flashing lights from the cop cars everywhere were blinding but we walked towards the other soldiers.

Site commander: Alright, we don't know what happened down there and we are working on cutting into the elevator shaft. Be prepared for the worst, and you will likely see some fucked up shit. Whatever happens, do not panic and stick together.

We started to walk off and double check our equipment. When those doors are opened we are going to have to climb down a ladder and cut into the roof of an elevator. Then we just hop in and look for survivors. Hellfire seems pissed that he has to use a rifle and not a flamethrower and Player is fucking around with his gun. Solkus seems the most calm but it is hard to tell through the gas mask. We waited for a few minutes when finally the door was breached.

We climbed down a few stories before a breaching charge was set up. The charge detonated and blew a hole in the elevator. Immediately smoke came out of the elevator and we could hear the fires burning inside. We jumped down and exited the elevator to see dead bodies, fire, and rubble.

Solkus: Nobody splits up. Hellfire, watch our ass.

We walked through the corridors and passed plenty of bodies. I turned a corner and I heard a click. Solkus immediately yanked me back right before there was an explosion. My ears were ringing as Player checked me for any injuries, Hellfire was looking for any hostiles and Solkus pulled out a radio. My hearing returned to normal when Solkus was mid sentence.

Solkus: all personnel. We have located a tripwire bomb, there are probably more.

We checked for more and continued down the hallway. I feel like the walls are watching us for some reason. I have been across multiple realities, all more demented than the last, but this hallway is what is fucking with me. We just keep going down the blood filled hallway passing more corpses of soldiers and agents.

We stop when we see a foot thick steel door ripped open. We climb through the worryingly large gap and see the actual GATE. It is up above us and the containment chamber around it is ripped apart. The bulletproof glass windows to the observation room is shattered and I can see blood whenever the lights flicker inside. We look around and decide to go up the tower meant to held up the GATE. We go up and look into the black hole. The electromagnets seem to be malfunctioning but they aren't off, the result of this is the GATE is shooting out small arcs of purple lightning. I was about to back up when without wanting to my hand reaches forwards.

Me: Guys! I can't control my fucking hand!

The other members of my squad grab me and start pulling me away from the vortex. I am released and we all fall back.

Everything is dark.

I don't know where the fuck I am.

My equipment is still on me so I raise up my rifle and turn on the flashlight. Despite this nothing is illuminated. I check my radio and it is set to channel "7̷̡̨̭͕͚̗̗̩̪͍̫́̀̈̇̆̓͆̀̒̑̅͐̍̓̃̈́̑̈́̎̆̒̏̐̓̅̀̀̚̕̕̚̚͜͝͝͠2̷͚̠̺̪̜̥͖̤̰̼̑̊̎̄̎̓́̈́͆͗̋͗̚.̵̨̨̡̫̬̘̖̦͚͇̺̻̭̗͖̲̦͈̼̦͙̥͑̈́̄̓́͜͜͜͜͜ͅ1̷̨̡͚̩̜̟̪̥̳̫̬̮̦̞̗̲̤͙͈̤͓̼̹̜̱͇̜̙̙̝̠̝̈̽̔͐̋̔͂̃͌̂͗̓͌̅̃̔͋̈́̀̑̎̿̕̕̕͠", whatever the fuck that is. I decide to try and use it because I need help.
