We Just Want To Talk

Location: Bar, Northern Ardonia

POV: Leo(I'm doing the thing guys look!)

So I gave the documents to a fellow resistance member and I was given a bit of new stuff. An assault rifle, new clothes(again) and an assignment. I would need to go off and help plant a bomb in order to take down some NOID base. At least that was the plan.

The doors were blown open and a bunch of cops with rifles ran in. Immediately the people in the bar opened fire on the cops but they were gunned down. Apparently riot shields are good at keeping the police officers alive. So now a collection of cops, agents, and soldiers are storming the bar and the underground tunnel network. I ran down into the tunnel and saw a flashlight shining at another resistance member followed by a short shootout that the soldiers won. I laid down and aimed at them and when they walked past I opened fire.

My shots hit and the first soldier fell to the ground. The second jumped back and tossed something at me. It took a second before I ran away and got behind a corner. Soon after there was an explosion and the tunnel filled with smoke. I peeked around and the soldier that I shot was being dragged back and more soldiers were running in. I fired another burst of bullets at them and ran.

I kept running until I found a few more members and I asked what the hell was going on.

Member: Cops found out about us and sent the army in, Kilo task force I think. Counter terror unit under Heyman.

Me: Heyman? As in the General who uses flamethrowers and napalm against resistance positions?

Member: Yeah, that fucker.

Soldier: Hellfire to Solkus, eyes on target, grid 53.

Radio: Affirmative, do your thing buddy.

We turned the corner to see a soldier pushing up behind a man with a large backpack and paint around his helmet.

Soldier 2: They saw us!

The first soldier let out a cackle and unleashed his flamethrower. The fire pushed down the hallway and we ducked behind cover as burning napalm(A/N: NO flamethrowers use napalm, yes they know it is a war crime, no they do not care) ignited the tunnel. We kept running and out of the flames came the soldier still laughing his ass off as he approached. One resistance member tripped while running and the soldier unleashed fire on him. Screams echoed through the tunnel as "Hellfire" burned the man alive.

I kept running and eventually found a room filled with resistance members. They were packing up documents and equipment before exiting the tunnels. I talked to them and they told me to get into a red pickup truck that was parked near the exit. I did that and we drove off as muffled gunfire came from the tunnel.

POV: None(more from NO perspective though)

20 minutes prior:

Kilo task force rode in with a police escort. The APD had surrounded the area and NOID agents had set up in other locations for the assault. They were tasked with taking down an insurgent cell responsible for multiple terror attacks across Ardonia and the surrounding area. They were also the group the Chinese smuggled weapons through. NOID agents had infiltrated a CCP vessel and found hundreds of AKs, tons of ammunition, and a large amount of rocket launchers. C4 and other explosives were reported as well.

When the convoy reached a block away they split up. Kilo 1-1 was assigned to storming the tunnel through a storm drain located a bit east of the target. Let's go over Kilo 1-1 for a second:

Sulkus: Staff Sergeant, squad leader, most competent person on the team.

Hellfire: A pyromaniac that the army gave a flamethrower.

Player: Good at coding and video games(hence player being the nickname)transferred from Navy where he was a part of the NOSS Survivor's NCT(the one that got sunk when team RWBY jumped universes on accident).

Alcos: Most recent addition to the team, brother of the head scientist for New Orderia, is the team driver.

The LAV came to a halt and the squad got out. Alcos turned off the engine and grabbed his rifle while Player set up a breaching charge on the metal grate keeping them back. The squad stacked up and waited for their order.

Radio: Attention all call signs, breach the tunnels now.

A series of explosions sounded and Player set off the charge. The grate blew open and the soldiers moved in. They came to an fork in the tunnel and slit into teams of two, Alcos would go with Hellfire while Player and Solkus moved in the opposite direction(we will focus on the first team). The two walked down the dark tunnel with their weapons up. Hellfire went first because he was carrying his flamethrower so going ahead of him would be suicide. Alcos tried to make small talk while they walked.

Alcos: When this is over do you want to get any drinks? Or just hang out?

Hellfire: I don't know, maybe. I just need to find something to burn right now.

The problem with Hellfire only being obsessed with fire is that it isn't easy to interest him with anything. Alcos wasn't good at making small talk in the slightest which made it even harder to distract Hellfire.

The two quieted down as they heard footsteps up ahead. A few insurgents could be heard talking around the corner. Hellfire did a little happy bounce as he took out his radio.

Hellfire: Hellfire to Solkus, eyes on target, grid 53.

Radio: Affirmative, do your thing buddy.

The insurgents peeked around the corner and stared directly at the two. Hellfire already turned on the flame used to ignite the napalm fixed to the tip of his flamethrower as he walked forward laughing under his breath.

Alcos: They saw us!

Hellfire laughed like a maniac as he opened the valve on the flamethrower. Burning napalm filled the room and the only thing louder than the fire was the maniacal laughter of the pyromaniac. Hellfire walked through the flames and Alcos was forced to stop and guard the back. Hellfire continued to laugh while chasing the insurgents. One tripped over a crack in the ground and was immediately doused in burning nape. 

Hellfire chased the remaining insurgents into a command room. A few had escaped but the ones still inside(which was 10 of them) turned towards him. He unleashed fire on them and they in turn opened fire on him. They missed but the fire did not. As screams echoed Hellfire climbed out of the tunnel and saw a red pickup driving away.

Hellfire: Some insurgents escaped, they are in a red pickup heading south.

Smoke rose from below Hellfire as he watched the truck speed away with police cars and helicopters following.
