Location: NO military base, New Vale

General: Hello Overseers, I am sure you heard some things about why you are here but let me clarify. Last week a bomb went off in a nearby forest. It was an incendiary device and started a wild fire. The WFM managed to get it under control but we can't accept this as just another thing. Vale continuously gets attacked by terror organizations, the WF, our local insurgency, and now whoever did this. That is why we will be doing a series of raids. IDTF Tau units 3, 4, 8, 11 will be working, Alpha 5 and 6 as well as Beta 9 will be on standby in this base. If things get worse expect to be called in.

As the speech was wrapping up a soldier opened the door to the building and went towards the general.

Soldier: There has been another bombing. The Vale port has had a large scale explosion, VPD also got a call about a suspicious device in a downtown high rise.

General: Change of plans, everyone of you get 3 IDTF teams down here, Tau use anything already here and Beta call whatever you want. I will alert DCM and WFM.

Location: WFM Panorama Station

Once again the siren went off and the firefighters grabbed their gear. The difference was they were going to the city to help civilians affected by some bombings. Station Radiant would also be responding. The military was being deployed and would oversee any arriving units.

Firefighter: Hey cap? Any idea what happened?

Captain: A bombing, supposedly there are more coming soon.

Firefighter: To call firefighters trained for forests to a city it must be getting bad.

Pilot: Radio chatter says Radiant is using their units for evacuation work. You are all trained EMTs right?

Firefighter: The law requires I say yes. Everyone here is.

Captain: Then get ready for triage work.

The last firefighter climbed in and the helicopters took off. As they got closer the black smoke coming from the port became larger. While flying over the city there was an explosion below them.

Pilot: Panorama 4 to IC, we had an explosion in the commercial district, permission to land with 5 and 6?

Radio: Granted, all Panorama units are to respond to the commercial district bombing.

The helicopters got closer to the ground and saw flipped vehicles, burning buildings, and injured civilians. The immediate goal was getting people out of the damaged buildings. The captain grabbed a loud speaker and began giving orders to the civilians.

Captain: Attention, this is the New Orderian Rescue Division, please exit the buildings and head away from the blast. Be cautious of debris.

The firefighters did not have SCBA so entering buildings for complete searches wasn't an option. The next best thing would putting damp cloths over their faces and doing short searches of individual rooms. Firefighters decided that the short search is better than none and began getting people out. Any injured were moved to the helicopter landing area. 

The rest of the Panorama units arrived with the VFD and VPD to continue evacuations. Panorama crews were now able to put out the fires using the engines and not hope the hallways were clear of fire. After 30 minutes the fires were out and NO military personnel dealer with any remaining explosives or hazardous materials. An order was given for any NO fire trucks to pick a large parking lot for a temporary station and set up camp. 

Location: Vale commercial district

An IDTF team moved forwards with VPD following, they evacuated the buildings around a blacked out van and sent in NO army bomb technicians. After opening the door to the van a large amount of ammonium nitrate fertilizer was found in 50 gallon drums. They were wired to a central device with a counter set to 5 minutes and 20 seconds. The bomb tech realized that if it went off it would level multiple city blocks. The only option now was moving it away. The issue with that is to where, the city has walls so they can't just exit and even if there wasn't it was a 10 minute drive at normal speeds, a huge bomb in the back requires that they go slower. So what was within 3 miles and wasn't immediately a risk to public safety.

EOD: Where can I move this thing sir?

Radio: Only place you can get to in time is the forest near Beacon.

EOD: Isn't that a school?

Radio: It is vacant as of now and the cliff would shield any of the blast that gets through the trees. Panorama and Radiant stations were alerted in case of a wild fire.

So they went with the only option, a police escort to Forever Falls. It was a race against time with the penalty being death. After 4 minutes the truck was far enough away from anything and the EOD ran for cover. The sound of helicopters from the WFM got closer as the bomb detonated. The blast knocked trees over and shook the ground. The fireball shot up and loomed over Beacon. The helicopters touched down and firefighters made sure the flames didn't spread to far. The bombers were found the next day and given to Vale for trial.
