CHAPTER 60: Legacy

"Oh, that—hehe." She said meekly. "I merely wrote it as a joke" she waved her hands dismissively. Peh! How can she say that she wrote it because she thought she might dissipate before this little girl appeared? but she's just bad at writing a message and it ends up like that in a jumbled mess.
  
She wants to make sure that no one else could read it because it was embarrassing aside from the next successor so she wrote it in English characters.

Yu Yue glanced at her disbelievingly but she didn't press on for more.

"mind telling me what's going on? And what successor? What legacy?" She bombarded her with multiple questions.

At that, Snow fairy's attitude quickly turned one-eighty as she places down her teacup having a solemn expression.

"Well, I've told you, once you accept the legacy you won't be restricted by the heavens in this world. Since you're already not restricted it is up to you what you should do with your life. Each successor has a different fate so the legacy is the last word written in my message itself" she spoke solemnly and even go as far as reciting the words with all seriousness.

What she didn't tell Yu Yue though, was that she could do as she pleased in this world since she was not restricted by the heavens but if she changes other people's fates she would go through a heavenly tribulation.

"Your Journey shouldn't be heavy, go around the world and carry this legacy without worry, and remember you aren't unlucky" seeing Yu Yue's darkened face snow fairy wasn't able to keep a straight face anymore out of embarrassment.

Yu Yue look at her like a joke after listening. "who made that up? What legacy? It's crap!" she said as she shook her head.

She feels like laughing out loud if this doesn't involve her future.

"I know right, it's hilarious. That old pervert made that up, he's not very bright after all. Leaving behind such crappy words and even making it a legacy, blah what crap" snow fairy shamelessly blamed the old sage who jump up in anger, smoke fumed out of his nostrils like a cat whose tail was stepped on by someone.

"shameless girl!!" he thundered angrily which shook the heavens.  

Feeling guilty snow fairy made a peace sign on her mind and lit an incense of apology.

Each predecessor has different legacies because they have different fates so it's as good as not having a legacy at all because it all depends on the successor to do whatever they want with the inheritance as they aren't restricted to the heavenly laws anymore, and that's heaven defying.

Snow fairy is so bad at explaining, so she just jumbled messily whatever words she could say from the deepest of her heart.

Although Yu Yue criticizes her words she appreciates them after noticing Snow fairy's expression.

To think of it, her words did make sense somewhat to her at another glance. It's just expressed poorly.

But what Yu Yue didn't know is that everything is connected and the inheritance itself can make this world chaotic with constant bloodshed.

Snow fairy didn't tell her anything about it because this girl is crafty and she might try to escape. She's just bluffing that there's no leaving this place if she won't accept the inheritance.

She sighed in her mind, some people were fighting to the death just to have it yet this little girl isn't interested in it at all.

"hmmp. Isn't she also like that during her turn? She gives me so much trouble back then so what is she complaining about now that she easily hooks this little girl" Old sage mumbled in discontentment.

If Yu Yue didn't have the others around she won't be this agreeable, but now she can't be selfish.

This is also why Snow fairy was so delighted to see her coming in here with others so she can use them to influence this little girl's heart.

She's been observing Yu Yue since she entered the black forest so she knows how to deal with her.

She smiled slyly because her crafty plan is about to succeed.
