49. Reunion...?

Tessa's POV:

For the rest of the drive I'm on the phone with Hardin.

We just hung up, he started to sound weird about thirty-five miles ago.

I pull into the street where house is.

The closer go the house we get the more I get excited.

Three house left.

I'm practically bouncing in my seat.

I see my house and I'm beeming.

I pull into the driveway and the door to the house opens. I see my family running out the house.

I barely park the car before I jump out.

I hug the first person I see. My mom.

We're both are sobbing in happiness. She starts saying how happy she is that I'm okay.

After we pull apart I get pulled into another pair of arms. Brandon.

I feel tears on the top of my head. "I love you," he whispers. I bury my head more into his warmth.

After pull apart, I'm, not pulled into anyone's arms. I'm just surrounded with people I go to school with.

Once I get out of that I'm surrounded by people I work with. I'm surprised to see them, considering I work mostly at home. Once I finally get out of the group of people I walk into the house. Which they follow me into. I get that they were worried but I could use some space.

I've been here for forty-five minutes and I haven't seen Hardin or Sam.

Where are they?

I can't go look for them cause these people won't leave alone!!

I'm sorry, it's just I need to see two of the people who are extremely important to me and sleep. But I can't do that if they keep talking.

Finally Sam jumps in and diverts there attention away from me.

As I stand I see Jordan in the corner by herself. This would be a great time for me to introduce her to Brandon and mom.

I walk over to her, grab her hand and lead her into the kitchen where they are. There are also some police men and women who are trying to find Richard.

"Mom, B," I call out to them. They look up at us. With a smile they walk over to us. "This is Jordan," I introduce her.

"Hi," she says in a small voice.

They both introduce themselves to her. Her and Brandon instantly get into conversation. Mom and I walk off leaving them.

"She's related to Hayden?" My mom asks. I sigh before nodding. "Yes," I tell her.

She nods. "Can she stay for a while?" I ask her. "Teresa-," she starts.

"I know, I know," I stop her. "But you would do the same thing for Brandon and I ," I tell her. She doesn't say anything, she knows I'm right. "Plus, I promised she'd be safe. She didn't do anything to me," I remind her.

She sighs loudly. "Fine," I clap in excitement. "But," she starts again. "The second anyone feels uncomfortable she's out. Okay," she says seriously.

"Okay," I say before hugging her thankfully. We pull away. "Yeah okay," she rolls her eyes with a smile.

"Do you know where Hardin and Scarlett are?" I ask her.

"Yeah, they're up stairs," she tells me confusedly before walking away.

They've been up there this entire time and haven't came to see me. I frown, walking up the stairs.

I can hear talking in the spare room, but I can't hear what they're saying. What are they talking about? When I get to the door, it's cracked. But I can see that they are in a hug. What is going on?

I open the door completely. "Hardin, Scarlett," I call out to them. They pull away and look towards me. They both look disoriented. They're clothes and hair are messed up, their eyes are bright red. They both stand up suddenly, like they've been caught of something. "Tessa," they both said.

She's wearing Hardin's jacket. He hates it when people where his clothes except for me.

"What's going on you guys?" I ask them. They both look at each other, panicked, then back at me. "Nothing!" they both yell out suspiciously. "I'm gonna go home," Scarlett tells us. She looks at both of us awkwardly."Bye," she says before walking out the room.

I farther into the room, crossing my arms. "Hardin, will you please explain to me what happened in here?" I ask him.

He puts his hands in his front pockets, looking at the floor. Guilty.
