37. Come on

Tessa's POV:

We pull up to the old building where Mel and I used to hang out.

This is actually where we met. She had just moved here and needed to get away from everyone, so she ran and ended up here. Me on the other hand had gotten into a fight at school, which wasn't my fault by the way. And when mom and Richard wouldn't listen, I ran and ended up here. We ended up bonding over who had the worst situation. She won. After getting to know each other for a while we went back home. It's only a ten minute walk from the road we I've on now.

And my old building, I don't mean a place where people work in. I mean an tiny house.

We went home, got yelled at by our worried sick parents and has been best friends since. Well until the fight.

Anyways.

I tell Hardin the directions and we arrive five minutes later. "What is this place Tess," my love asks me.

"Remember when Mel and I would disappear for hours." He nods. "This is where we came, not for a pacific reason or anything just to get away," I tell him.

"No one knows about this place except for us, Mel, and Scar."

Complete honestly I didn't want to tell Scarlett about this, for the reason this is mine and Mel's place. I told her that, and she completely understood therefore she doesn't come here often.

But she did help me clean and decorate. We even got a friend to fix it up a little bit and it has working electricity and water. I've spent the night here multiple times. Also there are security measures in place, just in case. *ooo bars*

"How did you guys find this place?" he asks. "This is where we met," I tell him.

"Really?" he asks. I nod. "Cool."

"If she's here, where's her car?" he asks me. "I don't know," I shrug.

We both get out of his car. We walk up to the porch on the small cottage, I grab my key and unlock the door. "Did you repaint or something?" he asks.

I grab his hand. "I had some help," I tell him leading him inside. "Melissa!" I call out. "Are you here?" I walk into the main room and I see her sleeping on the rocking chair.

I sigh in relief that she's here and safe. I walk over to her quietly. I move the hair out of her face and see the tear stains. I walk back over to Hardin and lead him to one of the bedrooms.

"This is furnished too!" he exclaims. He sits on the bed. I laugh at his excitment. "Yeah, I had a bunch of stuff delivered when we were cleaning up the place," I tell him setting my keys down.

"What if the owner comes and trys to take this place from you?" he asks. "No one will," I reassure him. "How?" he asks. "Because I'm the owner," I tell him. I lean down and give him a kiss.

"Wait you?!" He looks surprised. I nod. "On my eighteenth birthday I talked to my mom about it," I shrug.

"Your mom knows too?" he asks. I nod again. "She's a lawyer, so she called her realtor and had him set it up," I explain. "But she doesn't know where this is, she only knows what it looks like. She wanted to respect that this is my private place. Well except for the cameras." I sit beside him.

"Cameras?" My baby is so clueless.

"Yeah, they're part of the security measures," I tell him. He looks confused. "Did you think my mom would really let me have a place and she doesn't know where it is."

He shrugs. "Is that why I've never been here, cause of the cameras?" he asks rubbing my leg suggestively.

I roll my eyes, moving his hand. "No, I didn't tell you because, this isn't a place to have sex at my love. This is a place to think, to get away," I tell him. "Also this is mine and Mel's place."

"Oh good," a familiar voice says. "I'm glad you guys didn't fuck here that thought made me super uncomfortable," she says.

We turn to the door and see Mel leaning on the door way. I immediately run up to her and throw my arms around her. She stumbles back a little. After hesitating for a couple seconds she hugs me back. "I was worried sick," I say into her hair. I pull back a tiny bit, so we're face to face. I smack her on the back of the head.

"Ow!"

"Don't you ever do that again," I tell her. I pull her back into a tighter hug.

After thirty seconds I release her. I hear Hardin get up from the bed and walk to us.

"You okay?" he asks her. She nods, "I'm fine." "We need to go home Melly," he says. "I know," she sighs.

"Come on."

We all walk outside. I active the security system before forget again. That's probably how she got in.

"Where's your car Mel?" I ask her. "I parked a block away," she says. "Okay we'll drop you off at your car then," Hardin says.

We all get in his car and drive to Melissa car. When we get there Mel gets out and drives ahead of us to there house. After ten minutes we pull up to their house, we get out of the car.
