You made your way to class, already dreading it. You had History with Niall Horan. He was a bit nerdy, but you where somehow attracted to him. His eyes made you melt, his soft voice, his everything was just…breathe, (Y/N), breathe.

You sat down in your assigned seat, glancing at Niall, whose seat was three desks behind you.

To your surprise, he was looking at you. You quickly smiled, feeling a deep blush coming on. He just hung his head, refusing to look in your eyes.

You frowned at his reaction before turning back around to see two of the school’s biggest bullies walking in class, Justin and Brice. They were alright with you, but they treated Niall like absolute crap, and you despised them for that.

“Hey, kid, your book fell,” Brice teased Niall, before smacking the book out of Niall’s hand so that it lie open on the floor.

You immediately got up to give Niall his book back. “Brice, how about you leave him alone for once?” You said, handing Niall his book.

He shyly took it from you, shocked that you helped him. Brice just laughed, “(Y/N), you alright?”

You rolled your eyes at him before returning to your seat. You looked back at Niall again, this time he smiled at you. You smiled back. That’s when the teacher began talking.

You sat in class for the next hour, extremely bored. The only positive thing was that your teacher was assigning partners for a project. You would have a chance to work with Niall. You prayed that some of Niall’s Irish luck would rub off on you as the teacher called your name to tell you who your partner would be.

“(Y/N), would you work with Niall?” The teacher asked.

You had to stop yourself from jumping up and cheering. You just nodded and smiled, pleased with his choice. You looked back at Niall, whom was blushing and looking in his book.

You giggled to yourself, excited to be spending the weekend with him since the project was due on Monday.

Class dismissed and you hurried to Niall before he could leave. “Hey!” You exclaimed.

He smiled, “Hi.”

“So, you wanna come to my house to work on the project? My parents have some sort of party to attend tonight, so we’ll have the house to ourselves,” You offered, hoping that didn’t sound too creepy.

He nodded, still hanging his head. You smiled. “Alright then.”

After school, you met up with Niall at your locker. “C’mon,” You said, leading him outside with you. He followed you outside before you told him that your house was around the corner, so you guys could walk.

You enjoyed a very silent walk home with Niall. You really didn’t mind the quietness, just the fact that you were walking home with him was enough to please you.

He followed you up the steps to your house, where you unlocked the door and ushered him inside. After hanging up his coat and giving him a quick tour, you took him to your bedroom.

You turned on your laptop, ready to research stuff. He pulled some papers out of a folder, laying them out on your bed.

“This is actually a kinda hard project,” He said, practically the first thing he’s said to you this whole time.

“I think we’ll be able to do it,” You smiled.

Together, you split up the work so that it was even. You started on your half while he silently used your laptop to research something.

“Listen, I’m really sorry,” You said out of nowhere.

Niall looked up at you, a puzzled look on his face. He raised an eyebrow, which killed you inside.

You giggled before clearing your throat and continuing. “I’m sorry that Brice and Justin are so mean to you. I’ve told them to stop before, but they don’t care. Next time I see them do something like that to you, I’ll slap them. Okay?”

He laughed, shaking his head. “It’s okay. I’m used to it.”

“No, I’m going to make them stop being such jerks! You’re perfect; they have no reason to tease you like that!” You said, realizing what you just said.

“I-I’m not perfect,” He stuttered, getting shy again.

“Trust me, Niall. You’re just about as close to perfection as someone can get,” You smiled, not even caring anymore.

“Wait…do you like me?” He asked, as if it was impossible.

You giggled. “Maybe,” You said, suspiciously.

He smiled widely. “Wow,” He whispered. “Why me? I’m not even cute.”

“What?!” You gasped at his nonsense. “You’re more than cute, Niall. Don’t say that.”

He shrugged. “I like you too. It’s embarrassing, but I can’t stop looking at you in class. I never thought you would ever like me back, though.”

You smiled, “Well, I do.”

He laughed, before awkwardly scratching his neck. Without thinking, you threw yourself at him, hugging him tightly. He was still for a second before he caught on and eventually hugged you back.

“I’d kiss you, but I don’t know if you’re ready for that,” You whispered.

He smirked before crashing his lips to yours. Okay, so he must have been ready. You smiled half-way through the kiss.

He finally pulled away, trying to catch his breath. He had a look of excitement on his face. “First kiss?” You asked, hoping it was.

He blushed and nodded. “Don’t be ashamed. I’m glad it was with me,” You said.

He smiled and pulled you into another hug. “Can you be my girlfriend?” He asked, cutting to the point. But, you liked that.

“Of course,” You giggled, holding onto him. History= BEST CLASS EVER, you thought.
