Imagine for Kyla!

“Sooo…” Niall awkwardly whistled, kicking a rock in front of him, his hands stuffed in his pockets. “Would you, um, ya know...go to prom with, um, me?”

A small smile crept onto your face as you looked down at your feet. “I’d love to,” You said, barely above whisper.

He sighed in relief and stepped closer to you. “Thank goodness,” He chuckled. “I was scared you’d just laugh at me or totally reject me.”

“I would never reject you,” You smiled, wrapping him up in a huge hug.

**Prom night**

 

“Mom!” You shouted, straightening one last strand of your hair. “I need your help!”

“I’m coming!” Your mom hollered, before appearing next to you. You watched yourself in the mirror as you finished on the final piece of hair.

“Can you help me with my makeup?” You asked, shoving your makeup bag in her direction.

She nodded and went to work while you called Niall to find out that he’d be there in ten minutes.

“Okay, that’s fine,” You said sweetly into the phone.

The second you hung up, you let it all out. “Ahh!” You panicked. “He’s coming in ten minutes and I don’t even have my makeup done or any jewelry or my shoes-”

“Calm down,” Your mom said as she applied some mascara to your eyelashes. “You’ll have time.”

Once your makeup was over with, you hurried to pull your matching pair of heels on. You quickly searched for a necklace, deciding on the one that was shaped like a heart; Niall gave it to you.

Grabbing your clutch, you checked yourself over one last time in the mirror. “How do I look?” You asked your mom.

“Lovely,” She smiled before peeking out the window. “I think Niall’s here.”

You nodded; taking a deep breath and pulling the door open just as Niall raised his hand to knock.

“Wow, Kyla,” He said breathlessly, with a satisfied smile spread across his face.

Your eyes trailed down his body, taking in the sight of Niall in a tuxedo. It was very pleasing to the eye.

“You’re absolutely gorgeous,” He smiled, grabbing your hand.

Throughout the night, you earned several complements from people. The entire time, Niall stood over you, making sure no one got too close.
