So thank you all so much and I hope you enjoy this!**

“Yeah, can I get a large-” He paused when he tore his attention from his phone, looking up to see you waiting patiently for him to finish with a smile on your face.

“If you don’t mind, I recommend the new peppermint drink. It’s a seasonal thing, and it seems to be a favorite right now,” You said, tapping your fingers on the counter that separated the two of you.

He stuffed his phone in his pocket and stared at you with huge, sparkling eyes. “Sounds great,” He smirked. “But I have just one problem,” He paused and glanced at the people around him, before leaning over the counter so that his face was directly in front of yours. “I need a pretty girl to share my coffee with, would you do the honors?”

You blushed insanely at his flirting and you looked down at your hands before quickly nodding. “I’ll bring it right out to you, sir,” You said to him as he paid and danced his way along with a wink.

The next person stepped up, holding her purse in her hands. She had deep red lipstick on, and she wore heels that clicked loudly as she walked. “Listen, girl,” She smiled at you. “That boy has a thing for you.” She turned her head in the direction he was sitting, and you noticed him nervously tapping his foot on the ground. He looked around, waiting for you to return.

You blushed again and looked down. “Can I get you something, ma’am?”

She chuckled and gave you her order. “Go get him,” She whispered to you as you handed her drink to her, with a quick nod of your head.

You brushed your hands over your uniform before snatching the boy’s peppermint coffee from the counter and sliding over to him as someone else took the work at the register for you. He was seated at a small table in the corner that conveniently had two chairs, one on either end. He stood quickly when he noticed you, and pulled the chair out for you. You smiled, sitting down, and handing him his drink.

He closed his eyes as he inhaled the strong scent of peppermint. “Thank you,” He said to you.

You nodded and folded your hands together in your lap, biting your lip and looking around at all of the other people. There was a short silence between the two of you until he cleared his throat and set his cup down.

“What’s your name, darling?” He asked.

You turned your attention back to him. “(Y/N),” You smiled.

“Beautiful name,” He commented, taking a sip of his drink. “I feel honored to be sitting here with such a lovely girl, miss.”

You giggled and shook your head, hoping to hide the obvious blush on your face. “I’m honored to be sitting here with such a charming boy,” You said in return.

“Would you like something?” He glanced up at the menu that was hanging above the register. “I’ll buy you something, sweetheart. What do you want?”

You shrugged. “Anything works for me,” You said.

“If that’s true, then I’m hoping I can take you out on a proper date after this. Does that work for you?” He smirked.

You raised one eyebrow and gave him a suspicious look. “I don’t know,” You laughed. “You might have to do better than that,” You winked.

“Hmm,” He nodded and took his bottom lip between his teeth. “Alright, love.”

He cleared his throat and stood from his chair, pushing it in after him. He straightened out his shirt before reaching for your hand and taking it in his. “Dearest (Y/N),” He smiled. “Would you be so sweet as to join me tonight for dinner? I’d love to spend more time with you, my dear.”

You giggled countless times and nodded your head while he sat back down in his chair. “That was adorable,” You whispered. “Of course I’ll join you…” You trailed off, realizing that you never caught his name.

“Niall,” He finished your sentence. “My name is Niall.”

“Of course I’ll join you, Niall,” You said, smiling at the fact that he was still holding your hand.

He squeezed your hand and you pictured someday telling your future children the story of how you met their father. “It all started in a coffee shop,” You would say. “It must have been something in that peppermint drink he ordered.”
