Niall instantly sprung to his feet when he spotted his brother passing through the sliding doors. He had a light brown jacket on, one that looked like it had been around for a while. He wore a cap on his head and swung his keys in his hand as he walked. Honestly, you probably wouldn't have put him as Niall's brother if Niall hadn't made it obvious. It was clear that they were two different people. While you were waiting, Niall explained that Greg was more outgoing than he was, so he'd welcome you right away. He said you'd have no problem starting a conversation with him, as he could be talkative at times. He said Greg was always more popular in school, but he still kept on top of his schoolwork to please the family. You shyly stood as Niall waved his brother down. He didn't even let Greg get to him before he chased after him and tackled him in a bear hug.

Greg patted Niall's back and Niall pulled away from him with another one of his huge grins on his face. And the next thing he did was turn to you. He brought Greg over to you and Greg kept his eyes locked on you. There wasn't a question in his mind as to who you were. He knew you were Niall's girlfriend but he was still struggling with figuring out how you got to be there. As far as he knew, you were staying back while Niall made the trip. But it all crossed his mind at the same time, and in a matter of seconds, Greg was able to put two and two together. Niall snuck you along, and was planning on getting as far as he could without telling anybody about it. Sneaky. Part of him wanted to congratulate Niall for his clever plan, but another part of him was worried sick. Mum and dad aren't going to like this one, he thought to himself as Niall pulled you into his side and leaned his head against yours.

"This is (Y/N)," Niall said, turning his head to peck your cheek. "This is Greg," He said to you, using his other hand to motion toward his brother.

"Hey, there!" Greg said after clearing his throat, "I've-I've heard a lot about you. I swear, this kid doesn't ever shut up about you." He nodded toward Niall and you giggled. His smile faded a little and he turned slightly, saying, "Niall, let me talk to you for a second." He motioned for Niall to come closer with his finger and you swallowed hard as Niall peeled himself away from you and stepped beside his brother. You pressed your lips together and tried to avert your attention to something else. "What the hell were you thinking?" Greg hissed, not giving Niall time to answer before adding, "You know you're gonna be in deep for this. Listen, they're mad at you as it is. This is only gonna set 'em off more."

"Well, they can't stop me," Niall said, maintaining a calm tone. "They don't control me anymore. I've grown up; I'm my own person now. I wasn't just going to leave (Y/N) behind. I don't know how long I'm gonna be here and I don't want to be without her. I figured you'd understand."

"Niall, stop," Greg said in a strong voice. He placed his hand on his brother's shoulder and told him, "You know I support you. This is your own choice, and I respect that. I'm just warnin' you-they're not gonna like it. I'm lookin' out for her feelings, too, ya know. They're not gonna be nice to her. If I were you, I'd take her up to your bedroom right away after you explain who she is. She's not gonna want to hear what they have to say any more than you are, so the least you can do is protect her feelings. Keep her upstairs where she can't hear them as easily. Get through the initial argument, 'cause you know there's gonna be one, and then meet her upstairs. Give her something to keep her busy while she's waiting for you. You'll want to keep her mind off of things. Niall, if you really care about this girl, you'll put her feelings before yours."

Niall nodded, thankful that his brother still supported him. Greg brought Niall in for another hug before he loudly said, so you could hear, "Let's head out now, yeah?"

Niall spun around and took your hand. He was left to carry his stuff, but Greg offered to take your things for you. You and Niall trailed behind Greg a little, so you took the opportunity to glance up at Niall and nervously ask, "Is everything okay?"
