“This is my brother,” Your friend introduced you to a blonde boy with great big blue eyes. “His name is Niall.”

You smiled and extended a hand to him, “Evie.”

“Cute name,” Niall nodded, his mouth curling up into a grin that made you blush.

“So, would you like to get to work?” Your friend asked after clearing her throat. The whole point of being at her house was to work on the school project that you both shared.

“Yea, of course,” You followed after her, glancing back at Niall on the way to see him staring at you. You quickly turned back around and took a deep breath before rounding the corner and hurrying up a long staircase after your friend.

You found a spot in her bedroom and you curled up with a notebook and a pencil. She sat on her bed and pulled out a textbook. “Okay, where should we start?” She spoke as she flipped her book open.

You sat quietly and began writing while she took notes from the book for your project. You were almost finished writing when a familiar face appeared in the doorway. You immediately tore your attention from your notebook to the boy that stood in front of you.

“I asked Mom,” He said to his sister. “She said that Evie can stay for dinner, if she wants.”

Surprised by this, you sat silently and nervously tapped your pencil on your paper. “I’m sure Evie needs to get home to her own family, Niall,” Your friend reasoned.

“Well maybe not! Evie, do you want to stay for dinner?” He looked you in the eyes, giving you no option but to agree.

So there you sat, kicking food across your plate with your fork as if the table in front of you was a soccer [football] field, until Niall’s voice rang through your ears.

“So, are you guys going to be working on this project for a long time?” He asked, shoving some food in his mouth.

“Probably,” Your friend answered.

“That means that Evie will come over tomorrow then, too, right?” Niall sat up straight in his chair, anxious for a response.

“Sure,” You were quick in saying this, since you did like Niall, and after all, there was still much to do for your project.

After the awkward meal with their family, you packed up your things to head home. “Bye,” Your friend said with a smile as she escorted you home.

“I’m looking forward to seeing you tomorrow, Evie!” Niall smirked from behind you.

You giggled. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Niall.”

And you went home with a silly smile on your face and the thought of how much you would enjoy doing this project.

**I didn’t get any particular request from you, so I just came up with this! I’m sorry if it’s not that great. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoyed it and I apologize for the wait, dear.**
