"I-I don't understand!" You cried, curling up in a ball, almost instinctual. You felt your heart drop, you felt like you had just been crushed. Your toes curled and your palms grew sweaty.

"I know, I don't get it either," Niall said, tears streaming down his pale face.

"But-no! I mean, you're my...you're my best friends. My only friends," You choked out as tears of your own crept out.

"We don't want to leave either, (Y/N), trust me," James said, though it came out more like a whine. He sniffled and shifted in his spot.

"It really wasn't our choice. Our Dad got offered a new job, and he says it'll pay better. He says we'll have a big house, and that we'll make new friends right away. But I don't believe him. We're all perfectly fine right here," Niall explained, wiping at his eyes.

You turned away as more tears fell from your eyes. There was nothing more for you to say, or do, really. You all knew that no matter what you said, nothing was going to change Daddy Horan's mind. Besides, it was too late anyway. They were leaving the next morning.

James stood up and wrapped his arms around you, whispering in your ear, "We'll miss you."

You couldn't form any words, so you just nodded your head and held onto him. He tried to pull away and give Niall a chance, but you wouldn't budge. "Don't leave me," You squeaked, gripping tightly to his shirt.

He sniffled again, and rested his head on your shoulder. "Our mom is going to come find us eventually, and she'll drag us home, if she has to," He said, his voice shaking.

You managed to loosen your grip on him a bit, allowing him to shimmy out of your arms. He smiled at you, his face tear-stained. Seeing them both so broken like this was hurting you more than the fact that they were moving tomorrow.

Next was Niall, and you knew this wasn't going to be any easier. He didn't hesitate; he just dove right in and held you as close to him as possible. "You're really cool, (Y/N). And we will never forget you," He cried, reaching up and wiping a tear from your cheek with his thumb.

"I won't forget you either," You sobbed, sloppily kissing his cheek.

He kissed your cheek in return and stepped back, leaving your arms to fall to your sides. You looked up at him and his usual happy face was now drenched in sadness. He inhaled sharply and looked to his feet.

"I think we should go," James whispered. Niall nodded, before looking into your eyes. He bit his lip and shakily waved goodbye to you.

You followed them outside, stopping at the end of your driveway. You still hadn't stopped crying, and your vision was a bit blurry.

The twins cut through the lawn and right into their yard, where they trudged up the steps, one after the other. James waved to you before unlocking the door and walking inside. Niall stopped for a second, looked at you, and continued inside after his twin. You stood there for a minute, as if you were expecting them to burst through the door and say that it was all just a lie. And after fifteen minutes of waiting out there, you realized it wasn't going to happen. Not this time.

You forced yourself back into your own house, wiping more tears from your face. You planted yourself in your bedroom, refusing to come out for anything, not even a meal.

It was hard enough to get over the fact that they weren't going to be next door anymore. You wouldn't be able to skip to their front door anymore, or sing to them until they woke up from your bedroom window to theirs. No more chasing Niall around the block, no more studying with James. But they told you that they weren't just moving out of the city, or even out of the state. They were going back to Ireland; 5,000 miles away.

-------------------------------------

The next morning, you didn't even bother to crawl out of bed. You were a mess. Every time you even glanced at the house next door, you cried. Any time the words "chocolate" and "milk" entered your mind, you cried. Any time you thought of them, you cried. Anything that reminded you of the twins put you in tears.

You hadn't eaten since breakfast the day before, and you were almost scared to look at yourself in the mirror. You already knew your hair was tangled beyond belief, your skin was warm and sticky, and you'd been suffering a major headache all night. Combine that with a very emotional girl, and you certainly weren't gonna find anything pretty.

"(Y/N)!" You heard your mother call from what sounded like the bottom of the stairs. "(Y/N), the boys are leaving."

You groaned as you felt another rush of tears attack you. And there you were again, hopelessly sobbing and locked up in your bedroom. Yes, you locked yourself inside, as you didn't want to be bothered.

"Tell them goodbye for me!" You screamed through tears, letting your head fall back on your damp pillow.

"Okay, honey," Your mom said quietly, but loud enough for you to hear. You silently cried until you drifted off to some much-needed sleep.

**There it is! Part 2! What do you think?! I know, it's a sad change in events. But it'll get better, I promise! Working on Part 3! Stay tuned!**
