SEOKJIN & DYKEMA

Seokjin POV

"Thank you for agreeing to have dinner with me tonight, Dykema. I really appreciate it."

Dykema rolls her eyes a bit before turning her head to stare out of the car's passenger window. "I'm still mad at you, Jin. What you said at Mom's was highly uncalled for."

"I know that it was wrong, and I'm sorry. It was just in the heat of the moment and I let my temper get the best of me."

"You lowered my entire existence to the gap between my legs, Seokjin."

I gulp nervously, silently praying to any god or deity to guide me in the right direction and get things back on track with my girlfriend.

"And I am so sorry for that. You are so much more than a body part."

Crossing her arms over her chest, Dykema stays quiet. She still isn't satisfied with my apology.

We arrive at the restaurant Fleur fifteen minutes before our reservation time. I only need five to relay my plans for the evening to the hostess and set the wheels in motion.

I've planned this evening for months. Today is our one year anniversary and there seemed like no better opportunity to ask my beautiful, amazing girlfriend to take the next step in life with me.

I am going to propose to Dykema tonight and I hope she doesn't reject me. Originally, the entire day was going to be cram packed with romantic gestures and then end with a fancy dinner and a proposal, but I have barely seen her since her mother's birthday party.

I was mad. I was madder than mad; I was livid. The way that Dykema openly allowed another man to touch her so intimately in front of me and her family pissed me so far off, I needed a few days to regroup.

It took exactly two days for the reality of the situation to cool my temper. After opening myself mentally and physically to Dykema, my mind could only rationalize another man touching her the way that Hoseok man did by believing he was sleeping with her behind my back.

But the fact of the matter is, it wouldn't have been behind my back. Dykema and I shouldn't have slept together at all. She mistakenly thought I could hear her call for me and that is the only reason we went as far as we did.

Approaching the hostess stand with my hand on Dykema's lower back and a smile across my face, I check us in. My face falls with a quickness when the hostess drops a bomb on me.

"What?!" I screech.

"Your reservation isn't until tomorrow, sir," the hostess replies a bit more nervously this time.

"But I called a a while back and reserved a table for two tonight! The fifth!"

Dykema scoffs, moving away from my hand.

"Yes, sir, you did reserve a table for two but it was on the sixth which is tomorrow. Today is the fifth, and we have no tables available. I'm sorry."

My ears burn red from embarrassment. I turn to Dykema who blinks blankly at me.

"I'm so sorry, sweetheart."

"Whatever," is all she returns.

Back in the car, I check our anniversary date in my cellphone. I was right; our anniversary is on the fifth which is indeed tonight. Why in the world would I say the sixth?

"I am in a skirt, Jin."

I lift my gaze to my very upset girlfriend.

"I am in a skirt and flimsy blouse which is so far from my regular attire. You asked me to dress nice for dinner, and I did. Now, dinner has fallen through and I am still in a skirt and blouse and highly uncomfortable, and I'm still hungry."
