The galra woke up first in the bed he stayed in the night before, Lotor laid in the bed listening for anyone outside the room, but he couldn't help but look at lance sleeping on his stomach with the pillow hugged closely. It made Lotors heart ache at how at piece lance looked, relaxed, comfortable...

He leaned over and pressed a kiss to lances hairline gently. Lotor smiled when lance moved around but didn't wake up. He made his move to get out of the bed and let his lover sleep as long as he could.

Lotor opened the door from lances room to see the living room was empty, he looked around making sure they wouldn't be caught, glancing back to sleeping Lance, who was curled up in the bed under the covers, Lotor smiled softly at him.

he sighed gently walking over and seeing a note on the counter that was in pidges hand writing. Left around 8, hunk took your left overs, can't find Lotor.  -the best Paladin

He raised a brow but set it down to go get water.

Lotor couldn't help but think about the night before, or morning, how he had the love of his life in his arms again, that he could share his taste once more, feel his warmth against his own skin. He felt like he was whole again, hearing lances laughter, seeing his smile, just having him close was enough. It was a feeling words would never describe for how happy he felt with lance.

He felt like he had a rare jewel that he almost lost... his time with his love felt like it was worth more from almost losing him.

Lotor sipped the water in deep thought, he didn't even notice Lance wake up and walk out.

"Morning Amor," lance yawned exhausted as Lotor was startled.

"I didn't mean to wake you up," Lotor set the glass down as lance got coffee instead.

"It's hard to not notice You leaving the bed," lance closed his eyes as he rested his body against the from of lotors. Lotor rubbed his back gently of the tired human.

"Everyone left?" Lance noticed looking to the side.

"A while ago, at least with the galra gone there's no early mornings for now," Lotor shrugged as lance hopped on the counter and crossed his ankles while sipping his coffee.

"We'll be launching back out to space soon enough, it won't last forever," lance leaned back with a yawn.

"Are you going to come with..?" Lance asked quietly as he looked at the hybrid.

"I guess I haven't thought that far, I don't have a place on earth so I know I can't stay," Lotor leaned against the counter next to him.

"I don't know, truly... can I be honest with you Lance?" He looked at him calmly.

"You know you can," the Paladin nodded.

"I don't know what my place is in the universe, I don't have my empire, galra, nor alteans, I'm honored Shiro offered to me to join him but... I'm not sure where I stand in the universe," Lotor turned to him as lance listened intently.

"I think the worse part is I don't know where to go now," he sighed with a hint of sadness.

Lance pulled him gently against him, slotted between his legs that dangled off the counter and brought them closer in height. Lance cupped his face gently as Lotors hands settled on his waist.

"You've made progress already in moving forward, you'll get where you need to be eventually, it's something you won't know until you look back," lance told him with a soft smile.

"I've seen it happen, I've been there," he whispered with sympathy.

Lotor studied his face, he touched his hand softly keeping him close. It was something nice to hear, it did help in a way but the new fears still settled in his skin. The new fear wasnt someone anymore but it was what he was capable of. He was terrified of himself.

"My love... my darling, I can't thank you enough for everything you've done," Lotor kissed his forehead gently as lance closed his eyes.

Lance leaned into him not knowing what to say, he leaned up and pressed his lips to Lotors once again as his arms were wrapped around Lotors neck to keep him against his body. He just wanted to feel okay, Lotor made him feel okay.

"Te amo," lance whispered into his lips.

"I love you too," Lotor smiled before kissing him slowly, savoring his lips. Hands dropping from the thin waist to lances thighs to hike him up and caused lance to burst out in giggles.

"Put me down holy shit," lance laughed looking down as Lotor carried him with ease. Lotor held him higher to get another chest deep laugh out of him. It made Lotor laugh a little at how ridiculous they must've looked.

But there was a knock at the door.

"Shit, put on a shirt, act natural," lance gasped jumping down and ran to his room to put on real clothes so they didn't look suspicious. Lotor walked in the room only to have his shirt thrown at his face.

"I swear if that's Veronica again," lance mumbled panicked as he jumped into jeans and put on a hoodie. Lotor pulled the shirt on and straightened it out as lance tossed him a hairbrush as well.

"Go go go, you can't be in my room," lance pushed him out and Lotor handed lance his coffee to help be more natural. Their hearts raced at the sudden adrenaline and laughed a little at how fast they got ready while lance went to the door.

"I have a phone ya can text," lance hummed with a bright smile while opening the door thinking it was either a Paladin or his sister.

"Hello lance," a woman stood outside his door with an older man and two other men behind her.

"Maria..." lance gasped as Lotor glanced over.

"Mijo, you gotten so tall," the woman gulped a little but lance backed away as Lotor caught the coffee mug before it fell when lance dropped it.

"Get out," lance whispered wide eyes.

"Hey, lance, it's not what it seems like-" "get out!" Lance cut his older brother off and slammed the door in their faces and locked it.

The four looked at each other as the oldest brother rubbed his neck with a sigh.

"It could've gone worse," Luis offered.

"Lance open the door," marco knocked again ignoring his brother.

Lance kept his hands on the door as he was in shock, Lotor touched his back gently to snap him out of his thoughts.

"That's your parents?" Lotor asked.

"Maria and John, I'm not talking to them," lance leaned against the door, ignoring the knocking from his brothers.

"Want me to answer?" Lotor offered.

Lance thought about it for a moment but smiled nodding. Let the ex galra emperor open the door for them, the man he was arrested with when they got back to earth. What could go wrong.
