31. Big Project

After a few weeks of bits and pieces of rackets, Boss Hitman Bang called us in for a huddle about a big project.

"Hyungs, y'all ready for this?!" Jungkook asked me and Yoongi.

"For real bro? I don't know how the hell I'mma explain this to Hobi if we are to be gone for weeks again."

"Same, hyung. Even our little jobs before, I had a hard time explaining to Chim. He has too many questions! I even blew up a cover one time at an underground club with minor prostitutes when Chim called this one girl I was trying to flirt my way in with, so we can gain access inside. He thought I was cheating on him as I kept texting that girl prosti. So he called her and told her off!"

I chuckled remembering that time as Kook didn't know how to get out of that situation, he had to call Jin to ask him to stop Jimin from meeting the girl for 'a talk'.

"Didn't Chim know that you aren't into girls??" I asked. Jungkook shook his head, "Chim knows no gender. Everyone is a flirt for him as long as I text 'em back with Hi or Hello!"

"Well that's clearly flirting, Kook." Yoongi laughed.

"I only text for the job, hyung! Clearly we have different problems with our boyfriends. Hobi seems so understanding like Mr. Formal." Jungkook sighed.

"My issue with Hobi was that he's so worried at the smallest things. He always tells me to come back to him alive and in one piece - when I was just going to the convenience store to buy a ramen!" Yoongi said, shaking his head.

"I don't think we have different problems. Maybe just different from how it was expressed by I'm sure they all have the same worries. They're best friends after all. They just show it in various forms." I said.

Jin is the same. Maybe he thinks I don't get what he's doing. Him, trying to offer scholarship to Namjoon; buying us groceries every week so that my brother is 'well fed'; then asking us to move into one of their buildings as according to him, it is nearer Joonie's school - I know he does those so I don't need to think about earning a big amount of money and to make us safe.

He is just being subtle about his true reason, but I can read my baby so well.

"How about we make this our last big job?! I need to calm Chim down before he gets sick of me." Jungkook said.

"Kook, you know how it is at Bangtan. Once you're in, you can't get out." Yoongi whispered.

"Well, I didn't expect that once I Jim-in, I can't just Jim-out!"

"So? You choose. Which one is more deadly??"

"Jimin."

Yoongi rolled his eyes, "You are such a chicken-shit!"

"Guys please, stop it. Kook, there's a lot to consider before we can get out of the gang. Like hyung said, they won't easily let us out. How about we get into Bang's good side first, then let's talk about this again?!"

The two only stared at me, Jungkook pouting his lips. Then the door suddenly opened, our boss walked in together with Pdogg and Slow Rabbit - nope, they aren't his pets, those are his two most trusted men.

"Hey kids. What's up? You've rested well enough. Now I bet you ready for the big money to roll!" Hitman Bang said, taking his seat across us at the center of the long rectangular table.

"Yeah boss. What do we have?!" Yoongi nodded, then he gently nudged at Kook who looks so uninterested.

"A chaebol family of generations came back from a big project in US. Smuggled pieces of antiques and artifacts used for displays or furnitures in hotels and expensive places. If our research is correct, they are to continue expanding here, maybe getting into a bigger group which will finance their operations, at the same time, patronize their illegal pieces." Pdogg started.

"What are we planning? Steal their products?! Do we have enough vehicles or equipment to handle those sensitive pieces?" I asked. I think this is a bigger one than we've ever done before.

"It's not that easy, Tae. Their products are well guarded and very fragile. Hence, we need to know about their next step first, why they came back here in Seoul and how they're gonna continue their operations here."

"Slow Rabbit is right. We've heard that their first business encounter since they came here to Seoul will be next week, at an annual ball held for shareholders. Their family has a big investment in that company group - KSJ Property Holdings."

My eyes widen at what boss said. Shit! Why does my baby's company always get the attention of these fucking wackos! Yoongi turned to look at me and Jungkook sat straight up to show his full attention.

"Are we going to crash the ball?!" I asked, my fists are clenched. I can't let boss know about me and Jin. I wouldn't like it when he thinks that this will be a personal mission for me. He might assign it to other groups.

Boss Bang nodded. "Maybe. The best we can do is enter as wait staff. Only you and Yoongi. Jungkook looks too obvious. He'll tap security cameras if needed. Get as much men as you can for backup, if emergency getaway will be needed. Then keep your eye at the business of the Lee family - Lee Kangchul, and his son, Lee Ken."

Lee-- Ken?!!
