Chapter Fifty-Three: Take Me Or Leave Me

"You still look like a movie. You still sound like a song. My God, this reminds me of when we were young. Let me photograph you in this light in case it is the last time..."

A/N: SEASON FOUR SPOILERS AHEAD!

160k reads on this book! This is insane to me and I can't thank you enough, so here is another little (Zobby) chapter. I doubt this book would be what it is without you supporting my insane ideas. I know I keep saying it, but I swear this season is going to be the best. The relationship drama, the rivalries, the character arcs... ahhhhh!

Warnings: abuse, addiction, anxiety, biphobia/homophobia, depression, domestic violence, slight eating disorder, language, panic attacks, sexual harassment/assault/abuse, violence, and other mature themes

Zion's POV

I emerge from the bathroom and see Robby lying down still.

I settle back into bed with him and whisper not to wake him, "I'm so thankful for you."

He turns around with a soft smile I can faintly see in the dark, "I'm thankful for you, too."

"Did I wake you?" I ask worriedly.

"No, I've been waiting for you to come back," he responds.

I sigh in disappointment, "I don't want you to worry about me." I can see him about to argue, but I stop him, "At least... not now. I want to live in this moment with you in case it's taken from us."

"I won't let you go this time," his hand trails down my arm and finds my hand.

I take my hand to find his cheek before cupping it, "I feel like I'm in a dream. I don't want to wake up."

"Hey," he holds me closer, "this is real. Don't think about the future. For this moment, it's us."

"Okay," I nod happily as he leans in and kisses me.

Then, we sit in the bed together and he holds me comfortably. He seems to understand that I don't want to sleep, so we just enjoy each other's company.

"I never thought I'd have you in my arms again," Robby nuzzles his head into the crook of my neck. "I mean, I never thought we'd be back together."

Back together.

"I never would have believed it a few months ago," I agree.

"Believe it now," he kisses my shoulder and enlaces his fingers with mine.

I turn to him and pull him in for another kiss. Our lips collide with each other, but I can feel the lack of energy from how tired we are. I end up laughing and Robby sighs with a smile.

"I want to find some coffee," I admit.

"It's four in the morning," he looks at the clock.

"I'm not going back to sleep," I shrug.

Robby sits up and frowns in concern, but I continue before he can speak.

"I don't really like my dreams recently. But I'm fine." I roll out of bed, and turn on the lights, "There's a coffee maker right there."
