Zion's POV
I wake up under a soft blanket with an unfortunate hangover. I groan as I sit up.
Something shifts beside of me and I hold in a scream as I turn to see Hawk look over at me, "Good morning."
I relax in relief as I lay back down beside him, "Morning."
A soft smile plays on his lips and I realize then that his hair is floppy. I bring my hand up to brush through the blue locks.
"I washed out the gel last night after you fell asleep. It's hard to sleep with the mohawk in," he explains in a whisper.
I smirk at the way his eyes shift and open and close. "Do you have a hangover, too?"
"I feel like I was hit by a train," he groans as he buries his face back in the pillow.
I roll over and kiss the back of his shoulder. I feel him relax under my touch as I leave small kisses all over his upper back.
"The tournament is today," I remind him. "We have to get up."
"Or," he grabs my arm, "we could stay here and do this for a while."
I run my hand through his hair again and then sit up. "We can't be late for the day we've waited so long for. Get up."
All I get in response is a groan.
I put on some pants and go downstairs to fix a hangover cure. Mrs. Moskowitz is in the kitchen and my nerves kick in. I can't let her know we were drinking.
"Morning," I greet her as I walk over to the coffee machine. This usually works for me.
"Hi," she says as she sits down at the table with her bagel. "There's a whole bag of bagels over there and cream cheese in the fridge." The last thing I feel like doing is eating.
"Thank you," I give her a small smile. The coffee begins to brew. I walk over and grab two mugs.
I note the dirty dishes in the sink and take that moment to wash them off and load them into the dishwasher. I'm nervous under her watchful eye.
"Is Eli still asleep?" she questions. I wonder if she knows I slept in his room.
"He's getting ready," I say so it's nothing out of the normal.
"Well, would you tell him I'd like to see him before he leaves?"
I tense. I don't meet her eyes. "Of course." I pour the coffee into the mugs. "Would you like some?"
"No, thanks," she says. I hear her stand up. "Good luck at the tournament today." I nod and she walks out of the room.
I let out a sigh of relief before grabbing her dishes and washing them, too. I need to make more time to help out around here.

"Well, my mom knew we slept together," Hawk breaks the bad news to me as we drive to the All Valley Sports Arena.
