"You can't, you can't catch me now. I'm comin' like a storm into your town. You can't, you can't catch me now. I'm higher than the hopes that you brought down."

Third Person POV

"This is it. End of the line," Kreese tells Dr. Folsom one day in therapy.

"I never took you for a defeatist," she replies.

"No," Kreese acknowledges, "a realist. I know my time is almost up, and I'm gonna spend my last days in... here."

"You don't know that," Dr. Folsom tries to counter. "Not for sure."

"Come on, Doc," Kreese looks at her, "a guy like me, in a place like this? I'm just wasting away."

"That's a choice, though, isn't it? You can find meaning, purpose, even in here. If you want to," she tells him.

"I've made a lot of mistakes in my life, learned some hard lessons," he leans forward to level with her. "But passing that knowledge on to my students so they wouldn't make the same mistakes, that... gave me purpose. Everything I ever fought for is lost. Every mark I made, every memory of me will be erased."

"Says who?"

"The best student I ever had. He was like a son to me." Kreese takes a minute as tears fill his eyes. "And now I have lost him and the other two girls who were like my granddaughters... for good." Kreese puts his head in his hands as he lets the tears fall.

Dr. Folsom walks over to crouch beside him, "Yes, John, you've made mistakes, but you still have time to try and make up for them. You told me you've been fighting all your life. So keep fighting, but with your heart and soul instead of your fists."

Unbeknownst to her, Kreese's hand slips into her pocket and grabs her ID badge.

"Use your remaining time to write yourself an ending that you can be proud of."

Kreese nods with a small smile, the tears gone now. To her, it's a smile of hope. But to him, it's a familiar smile of deception, manipulation, and freedom.

Zion's POV

It seems that we all arrive at the Cobra Kai flagship dojo at once. I'm less anxious and more angry. I want to hit something or light it on fire. It's a good thing Robby drove.

"Tory?" I hear Miguel ask aloud.

My eyes widen when they land on Sam and Tory walking together like they arrived together.
