Saying that her head felt like it was about to implode was an understatement.

"I am never drinking again," she muttered to herself.

It was a lie.

But she meant well.

Just as she was about to pull her blanket over her head to shield herself from the sunlight that streamed into the room, her phone rang. Eyes closed, she relied solely on its ringtone to guide her hands and provide her with a sense of direction.

Which didn't work out too well.

Frankly, she was surprised that whoever was calling her was patient enough to let the phone ring for so long.

Eventually, however, she found it, brought it to her ear and answered without checking who it was.

"Hello?" she asked, her dry throat making it difficult to speak.

"Morning, princess," Chenle said mockingly. "I heard Mark carried you home safely?"

There were a few words she would have chosen to describe how she felt at that moment.

Embarrassed.

Ashamed.

Humiliated.

"He did."

She hummed to herself, trying to pretend as if nothing even happened. what was last night anyway?

Alcohol? What is that?

"I didn't... did I... I called you?"

No hesitation preceded a confirming, "You sure did."

"Great." She sighed. "Did I embarrass myself?"

"I actually thought you were rather adorable," he admitted.

"This is painful," she muttered in return. "I swear I don't usually do drunk calls."

"Yeah Mark told me all about that." He was clearly mocking her. This was no fun. Neither the headache nor the fact that her idol was making fun of her. "You are more affectionate than usual when you are drunk. Less sarcastic."

Da-eun banged her head against her pillow. "Please stop talking."

"Nah, it was cute though."

"I would rather we never see each other again."

"Now that's a bit... drastic."

"It's the only sensible reaction honestly."

"You still need to look after Daegal until I get back."

At this reminder, Da-eun shot up, sat up straight with wide eyes, ignoring the pulsating in her head, and slight nausea that she felt upon her fast movement.

"Daegal! What time is--"

"Before you worry about her, you should check your messages," Chenle cut her off. On the one hand, hearing how relaxed he was calmed her down quite a bit.

His words on the other hand, couldn't sound more worrisome.

Kind of intrigued, she put Chenle on speaker to be able to look through her phone while continuing to talk to him. She checked the first chat, which was just Mark asking her if she was fine. Then she skipped past Jun-seo who was probably just asking about tutoring, and then past the commoners chat and--
