Haechan laughed. "So you're telling me Da-eun ditched you to hang out with Hendery and Yangyang?"

Ignoring his obvious amusement, Chenle merely calmly noted, "She didn't ditch me, she just wanted to get to know them better. She's quite sociable."

Regardless, Haechan kept laughing and was very verbal about his amusement, whereas Jisung was merely pouting.

"I also want to hang out with them..." he grumbled.

"Chenle," Jeno warned jokingly, "Da-eun's stealing your friends."

"Very funny," Chenle deadpanned.

"Don't be jealous~" Jaemin chimed. "It's nice that she's getting along with everyone."

Renjun had to agree. "Besides, you get to see her every day anyway. It won't harm you to take your eyes off her for a few hours."

Of course not. Chenle was fine with her spending time with Hendery and Yangyang. Still, his mind always found its way back to her and so she was always occupying his thoughts.

"Filming is about to begin, right?" Mark asked. "You said you and Eunnie would go to the set together whenever possible?"

"Yeah, why?"

"You two... haven't decided to make your relationship public or anything, have you?"

Chenle shook his head. "We only just got together a few days ago, that would be way too rushed," he pointed out. "Besides, it'd put so much attention on her when she's already stressed as it is."

"Would it be that bad?" Jisung asked innocently.

Given that it was Da-eun's private matter, Chenle didn't want to say too much. It was up to her if and when to open up about her struggles to the others.

So he merely said, "She really doesn't like having cameras on her."

Renjun frowned. "She seemed just fine when she presented herself as CEO Kim's daughter. She must be used to having eyes on her."

"Maybe. But she hates it," Chenle insisted ere adding, "I won't do anything that makes her uncomfortable so we'll keep this between us for the time being."

Happy and understanding, Mark smiled. "That's good." Yet he still wondered, "Then how will you handle going to set then? What if anyone sees you?"

"I'll drop her off just far enough away for no one to see," he explained. "Eun and I already discussed it."

"Wow, you two are careful," Haechan said, impressed to hear that they had made plans for this.

Careful.

That was the keyword nowadays. Life was less carefree lately than either of the two wished for. So it was only natural that they would be careful in all aspects.

Thinking about it, Chenle had yet to tell them about what was going on. He hadn't found the right time so far.

Was it now?

"Guys," he said, voice low. Judging by his tone and overall demeanour, it was obvious that he was going to say something unpleasant. "There is something I wanted to tell you--"

He stopped talking when he noticed Renjun and Jeno both giving Haechan money. Jaemin shook his head, silently judging the three. Mark and Jisung kept their attention on Chenle.

"...guys?" Mark urged. "Do this later."

"Sorry," Jeno said as he looked back at Chenle with a warm smile. "Continue."
