Regardless of what had happened, work commenced as usual the next day. The only difference that morning was that, rather than to the set, Da-eun went to their office.

While Chae-bong remained on set, Yu-rou and Da-eun got to finally start editing. It didn't take the younger of the two long to notice that, while surely having enjoyed herself on set, Yu-rou was thriving now where it was just them and their computers.

Her energy carried Da-eun through the day. A day that, despite not having expected it, was as exhausting as it was fun.

A day that ended with Da-eun finally going back home to Chenle whom she hadn't had much contact with since last evening.

When she pushed the door open, a faint bark sounded from within the house that was followed by fast, small footsteps.

Da-eun entered, took off her shoes and crouched down to greet the dog that had reached her by now.

"Hello~" she said softly as she rubbed the dog's head. "I missed you."

"She missed you too," Chenle said as he stepped into the entrance room. He carefully smiled at her ere he said, "She slept on your bed. She fell asleep there after waiting for you."

A silence followed his words that was not intended to be as heartbreaking as it turned out to be. Chenle wanted to offer her room, to give her space to talk to him whenever she felt ready. But all of that created nothing but anxiety in the boy that was now littering the air around them.

The tangible uneasiness caused the girl to get up.

"Do you want to go get ice cream?"

He frowned. "It's 15 degrees outside."

"Is that a no?"

Chenle looked to the side, spotting the car keys on the cupboard next to the girl. He stepped forward and grabbed them, then smiled at Da-eun as he said,

"Let's go."

However, ere he could even put on his shoes, Da-eun took the keys out of his hands. She smiled as she went ahead and got into the car. Chenle didn't question it, not for one second. Where they were going or what she was up to; he fully trusted her and so he just followed her.

The car ride was relatively short, with a brief stop at Mcdonald's. Chenle held onto their ice creams while Da-eun continued driving, though she made sure to let Chenle know that they were almost there.

Less than five minutes later, Da-eun parked at the side of the road next to a small hill. The grass on it was growing happily, reaching up to their ankles as they walked up said hill, following the path that others had walked numerous times before for it to be so smooth and void of any of the surrounding green.

She held onto his hand as she followed the trail. The sky above was a starless dark blue while the city below it was brightly illuminated, shimmering dots scattered across the scenery.

On top of the small hill stood two picnic tables. Both were vacant, both stood in darkness. Even though from up close the two could recognize each other with ease, they wouldn't be able to be recognized by just anyone passing by.

So Da-eun led them to one of the two and sat down on the tabletop rather than the benches that came with it.

Though summer was coming to an end, the early nights still weren't too cold. The breezes offered comfort rather than cool air, making it a nice atmosphere to sit in - especially with Chenle next to her.
