"La la la light up my life~"
Their voices flowed into each other with ease, mixing into a perfect blend of tones that were all so incredibly stunning on their own that having them combined added up to nothing less than greatness.
"I could listen to them sing all day," Hayoon mumbled, getting sad as the song was almost over.
Juwon looked at Hayoon first, then over to Da-eun. The younger was so focused on the music that she seemed to block out everything else.
Both Juwon and Jun-seo smiled at the sight.
"They really like these boys, huh?" Jun-seo wondered.
"To be fair, they seem pretty charismatic," Juwon commented. "And they sing quite well."
"I need you~ la la la light up my love~"
Applause filled the air. With bright smiles and full of joy, the girls clapped alongside the rest of the audience. The two boys found their enthusiasm endearing and went along themselves.
"Wow, thank you guys," Mark said, a little out of breath. His words caused the applause to die down slowly. "It's been a while since we got to do this together."
"Right," Renjun agreed. "We didn't sing together since promotions for My First And Last."
"It was fun though, we sang most of the OSTs ourselves," Chenle remembered. "That was pretty cool."
The rest of the boys agreed and so they finished the topic, with Mark proceeding to lead them into the next activity of the program.
"Since it's been a while, we wanted to give you the opportunity to ask us questions," Mark said before adding, "if you have any, that is?"
Unsurprisingly, dozens of arms shoot into the air, a couple of fans jumping in excitement here and there.
"You guys are so energetic. If I had to study all day, I wouldn't have this amount of energy," Haechan joked.
His remark led to the crowd telling him - or rather screaming... well, something? Something that neither Hayoon nor Da-eun nor the two boys understood. Haechan, however, through some sort of wizardry understood.
"Oh, because exams are over?" he repeated, receiving cheers mixed with relieved sighs in return. "How did it go? I have a friend that studies here. I saw her earlier; she seemed pretty well-rested and relaxed, so I take it exams were easy? Did it go well?"
Despite still not understanding what exactly the crowd was saying, the exhaustion and dismay in their voices were hard to miss. Haechan nodded understandingly.
"Ahh~ I see, then maybe she's just particularly smart," he joked before he very briefly, very fleetingly glimpsed at Da-eun. "But I am sure you guys are doing well. Don't stress too much, okay?"
Once he was done, Haechan looked at Mark, giving him a quick nod as the green light to continue with his MC duties.
"Then let us move on to the questions," Mark prompted. The Dreamies picked people at random, while members of staff tried their best to hurry over to them and hand them a mic they could speak into.
"Hey! I am a big fan, My First And Last is literally my favourite movie of all time so I wanted to ask if you are going to work on a project together again in the future?" a girl asked excitedly.
Mark looked at his friends, checking if one of them was particularly interested in answering this question. In the end, Jeno decided to give it a go.
"I think I'm speaking for all of us when I say that it was so much fun working together," Jeno said happily. It was evident that this was his genuine opinion on the matter. "Currently we have no plans to work together in such a way again though," he said, a bit sorry looking ere he added, "but... you never know what the future brings."
