[ Chapter 19 ]

Y/n's pov.  

" Arnica " I mutter as I look through the isles with different bottles.

I move some tags to read properly and found the bottle, I grab it then walk over to the counter where the old man is. I put the bottle on the counter as I take out my pouch.

" Six coins " he said.

" Six?, Last time was four " I said.

" After the incident my stock has been running low so six " he said, I scoff and just pay.

I grab the bottle then leave the shop as I put the pouch away and the bottle in my satchel, I sigh and walk down the path back to the stables. Mom's going to be pissed about that and I can't exactly do anything about that.

" Y/n " I stop in place then turn around to my name being called out.

I look around to try and find who it was but then I see a familiar face approaching me.

" Zane " I smile.

" What are you doing here? " I asked.

" I was running errands, what about you? " He asked.

" Just getting some supplies, we're running low on harvesting herbs and we need the medicine as soon as possible " I said.

" Do you need any help? " He asked, I shake my head.

" I was just leaving, I have to head back before midday, that's what my mom demands or not I'll be loosing an ear " I said, he snickers.

" So much as the gracious rumors " he said, I chuckle.

" She always has a bad temperament but she's good people, just not in front of the people she doesn't know " I said.

" I'm about done here would you like me to escort you back? " He asked.

" Oh you don't have to!, I can go back myself " I gesture to myself.

" It's alright, I can go " he said.

" Are you sure? " I asked, he nods.

" Let's go " he gesture his head and I smile as we walk together side by side to 

" Thank you " I said.

" We haven't really talked since that day " he said.

" I know, things have been rough I guess, what happened to the princesses? " I asked.

" They were already escorted back to Acraterra weeks ago, things went smoothly " he said.

" I heard the queen is giving out some rations " I said, he nods.

" We already closed it two days ago, I suppose your people has already gotten the rations? " He asked.

" It's for the people in the city who was injured and homes destroyed, our village has nothing to do with it " I said.

" Right " he said and we arrived at the stables.

I approach the black stallion and see the stableman.

" My horse " I gesture and he nods then put on my saddle.

" You don't really have to do this?, It's about an hour ride " I said and see Zane's horse is already saddled up.

" Your trying to get rid of me? " He asked, I turn around to him.

" No!, It's just your a noble and you live in the city and um. . . " I start stammering and he chuckles.

" Your a noble too, what's the difference?, I just want you to get home safe " he said, I smile.

" I'm still not used to this, ever since the palace visit it's just. . .different " I said, he takes off his mask to let it hang around his neck.
