Y/n's pov.  

" He gave me the ring, now what? " I put it down on gramps desk and he glanced at it for a second before turning back around to take off the stud buttons on his jacket.

" Keep it, it's yours " he said.

I stand here in confusion and Jesse takes off the jacket for him.

" That's it? " I asked.

" The queen and I have completed our arrangements, from now on you and Ein must spend more time together " he said.

" Spend more time?, As in what?, I have patients to take care of at the medical centre " I said.

" I will be changing your schedule, you will avert your duties from the medical centre to commissions " he said.

" What?, But the people here are needed more " I said.

" There are enough Pisces here to tend to the injured but not enough for out there, too many are afraid to go beyond the city or the boarder and your powers are useful, but I know you are brave and have the potential to do it " he said, I scoff in disbelief.

" So what happened to keeping my identity hidden?, Keeping us safe? " I asked.

" We are way pass that already, you are grown and now to be married so you must take a step forward in making new life choices, I will manage the medical centre, you don't have to worry about it " he said.

" From the sound of it I don't get to pick my life choices " I said.

He stands there and just stare at me, with his white blind eyes it's more like a glare to intimidate me, and it still does so I just turn away with my eyes rolling.

" Fine " I said in an annoyed tone.

" You may return back to the medical centre, if there are any commissions that Ein takes, you will go with him " he said.

I fold my arms across my chest.

" Anything else? " I asked.

" Jesse has reported back of your progress, I am delighted that you are willing to learn it " he said.

" You basically wanted me to " I simply said.

In the corner of my eye I saw him extend his hand and Jesse places something thin on his palm.

" I know you have a dagger to protect yourself but I am against it, it will be noticeable, I would like you to have this instead " he said.

I turn my head and see it's a silver hairpin, he gets up from his seat and walk around the table to me. The top has a fish symbol swirling like the Pisces sign and the long silver handle has a intricate design on it.

Looks like it was made in the old times but it's clearly new.

" You expect me to wear hair accessories?, You do know as a Pisces we are restricted to wear them especially during in the field " I said.

" Not when it holds your hair up " he said as he holds it from one end to the other end with both hands.

I notice he's fiddling with a piece lock then I caught it early of him pulling out a really thin and long needle from it. Striking down at me, it was instinct for me to grab his wrist and push his arm away while at the same time my other hand unsheathed my dagger behind my waist and press the blade against his neck.

I stop myself before I even make a cut, it only took me a millisecond to realize what I just did. My entire body just went jelly and my brain shattered into pieces as soon as his eyes slide across the room towards me, gulping nervously, glancing at Jesse and him over and over.
