[ Chapter 62 ]

Y/n's pov.   

" We're going to let him sleep, okay? " I shut the door as Laurence sleeps on the bed peacefully and I step out of the room with Levi in my arms awake and playful.

I walk away and head down the stairs with him playing with a the sleeve of his jacket which is actually Laurence's because he put it over Levi and now he doesn't want to take it off. They're so long that it's not folded but pushed back and wrinkled, but I don't mind since it's keeping him warm.

" Wanna just go around the bureau? " I asked as I walk down this medical centre pass the beds where we can see some curtains are close with patients behind them sleeping.

" We can't go outside tonight since it's cold " I said as I adjust Levi's jacket.

" Well not that cold so maybe later " I said.

I pull the hood up over his head and I chuckle when it was so big that it just fall down and cover his entire face.

" Aww " I lift the hood and let it rest over his head and adjust it so it wouldn't fall again.

" There we go " I said and slightly pinch his chubby cheek as I keep walking down this hallway.

Passing in between the storage and greenhouse, from the windows of the greenhouse, I can see some notes being sticked everywhere inside and writings on it. The greenhouse is temporarily off limits to anyone, on the staff that are trusted inside by gramps are allowed, even I'm not allowed inside. As I get closer to see the progress they've made, I see the shaders on the roof is left open for the moon and stars to put light in the entire room. Levi suddenly make a noise as he put his tiny hand on the glass, I glance at him then to the window where there's a bumblebee just entering a flower that has bloomed in one of the crops that hasn't been affected.

" What's that? " I asked Levi as he tap the glass.

He keeps tapping the glass and we watch the bumblebee just minding his own business.

" It's a bumblebee " I said.

Suddenly he lost interest really quick and turn away to the hallway, I look over where he's looking.

" What is it?, Hmm? " I lift him slightly on my hip before he turns back to me.

" Wanna go that way? " I asked.

He then place his tiny finger on my nose and I smile as I scrunch my nose for him.

" That way is the medical instruments room which is full of stuff you shouldn't be around with, so we go this way instead " I said as I walk away from the window to the opposite direction.

" This way is where we keep food " I said and enter the lounge room through another door.

I slide the door shut behind me then walk over to the pantry.

" Let's see what we have, a midnight snack wouldn't hurt ya' " I said then open the door.

I see there's packet biscuits and jars of cookies, with some candies and more biscuits and cookies.

" What's your pick? " I look at Levi and I can see his eyes are just sparkling to the view.

I chuckle again and just grab the jar of cinnamon biscoff biscuits, I shut the door with my foot then walk over to the dining table in the middle. I hum a melody as I open the jar with one hand and take out one biscuit for Levi then stuff one in my mouth. I close the jar and leave it there as I see Levi enjoy the biscuit.

" Yummy? " I asked as I munch on my biscuit.

I then felt a slight breeze against my neck and when I turn I see the back door is slightly open. Walking over there I was about to shut it but instead I open it more after the wind blow it, stepping out and breathe in the fresh air.
