Y/n's pov.  

I hold the shawl together on my shoulders as I sit in this room, gramps and dad told Aaron and I to stay here while the local guests are settling in the main ballroom. I can hear the music being played from here as I fiddle with the sphere quartz in my palm.

" You look amazing " I look to my right where Aaron is walking towards me, I smile.

" Thanks, you too " I gesture to his uniform as he sit down beside me.

There's a lot of people tonight, practically the entire city must be quiet right now.

" Hey " I look back at Aaron.

" Don't worry, we're all still here for you, trust me and Olivia would probably be with you all the time " he said, I furrow my eyebrows.

" Why Olivia? " I asked.

" She's an orphan, she lives in the palace " he said.

" Oh, I didn't know that " I said then turn back to my palm.

" What is that? " He asked, I glance at him then back at my quartz.

" I've never seen you had it before " he said.

" It's a gift from my uncle, it helps me calm myself, surprisingly it works " I said and keep spinning them.

" You have an uncle?, I thought your dad only has a sister " he said.

" My mother's side " I said.

" Can I see it? " He asked, I see he extend his hand and I nod.

I put both of them on his hand gently and he holds it up to the light in the room.

" It's beautiful " he said.

" I know right? " I asked then he lowered it and pass it back to me.

" It's almost like it's magical " he said, he snickers.

" It does " I said then continue to spin them around my palm.

" What a year "

Aaron snickers then lean back on his chair.

" Can't believe I'm getting married first " I turn to him and he laughs more.

" You always thought it was me " he said.

I roll my eyes and we heard footsteps by the door, we straighten out backs and it opens widely to see Calliope and Aaron's manservant.

" It's time " Calliope said.

Aaron and I looked at each other before sighing.

" Let's get this over with " I said.

" You just want the food " he said as he gets up and I giggle before getting up.

I attach my sphere quartz to the side of my waist belt where a ring is, letting it hang and make my way out the door.

" My lady " Calliope said softly as I stop in place.

" I'll be at your service at all times " she said.

I turn my head to her and smile lightly.

" Just for today, you should enjoy the ball with a friend " I said.

I saw her lips move with hesitant.

" I can do things myself today " I said.

" A-are you certain? " She asked and her lips formed a smile.

I nodded.

" Take this as your day off and tomorrow just in case you get a little hangover " I said, she exhales in disbelief.
