Y/n's pov.   

" Is that the cave? "

Devon hums in response as we all are hunkered down behind this hill where we watched Jareth entered the cave.

" Okay, here's the plan " Ein said and we all lower ourselves.

" Katelyn, try to find another escape route for an emergency, Cathleen and I will sneak in and find him while Zane stays here and watch over Devon " Ein said.

" And me? " I asked.

They all turn to me and I crouch on this ground with a smile.

" You stay here with Zane, whatever happens stick with him " he gestures to Zane and I look at him.

" But I can go with you " I said.

" No, it's too dangerous, especially when you don't know how to fight " he said and I squint my eyes at him.

He stares back at me I can tell he feels intimidated.

" No offense " he said.

" I feel offended for some reason, how dare you? " Cathleen scooch closer to me and hug my arm.

" I'm with them " Devon gestures to me and Cathleen.

Our little circle start to get a little awkward.

" I'll go talk to Matthew and my troops " Katelyn said before getting up then walk in another direction of this forest.

" We should get prepared before we get into position, I'll talk to my clan first and I'll come back " Cathleen said.

" My Aquarius are at your disposal " Zane said and Cathleen nod.

" Be right back " she said as she get up then jog to the same direction as Katelyn.

" I can go with you, I can fight " I said.

" No, you're very important in this mission, if anyone is injured you can help and you know I can't allow you to be inside " Ein said.

He gave me the look and I sigh as I nodded, understanding what he meant by that.

" Alright " I said.

" I'll be back " Ein gets up and leave us three here.

Calliope was sent away further from this so it would be safer for her and now it's just Zane, Devon and I.

I looked at Zane and coincidentally he looked at me at the same time, we both just start gazing at each other, even though it's dark in this forest, there's always that light in the sky that helps us see. The moonlight just gives a shiny glisten in his baby blue eyes, him wearing his face mask made it my main focus to look at, I just realize it's rare for me to see his full face features.

" Can you two stop? "

Our eye contact just broke and we turn to Devon who sits on the ground with one arm over a knee.

" What do you mean? " Zane asked.

" I mean, stop looking at each other like that because it reminds me of my trauma and I don't want to be the third wheel in this story " he gesture his hand before sighing and rubbing the bridge of his nose.

" Look at each other how? " I asked.

He avert his eyes up to us and put down his hand with a slump.

" I don't wanna tell you, or it'll ruin this story that's currently ongoing so, no spoilers " he smiles.

" Your northern " Zane squint his eyes.

Devon just lean back with the same smile.

" How do you know that? " I glance at Zane and back to Devon.
