Y/n's pov.  

" Smile "

I look up from my lap to gramps sitting in front of me inside this royal carriage.

" How can you even smile in a situation like this? " I asked.

" Most woman would be excited to see they have a chance of marrying the prince " he said.

" I am not most woman " I said and lean my arms on the window.

" I want to marry who I love, like mom "

Breathing in the fresh air, I see we're in the city and just passed the medical department. Saw a glimpse of a few patients coming in and out of the entrance.

" No slouching "

I gasp when I was pulled back in and he makes me sit straight before he does the same. I look at him with my annoyed face as his face does nothing but just a normal expression.

" Smile and pay attention, make a conversation with Ein " he said.

" I don't know how to start a conversation with a prince " I said.

" Start by asking about what he likes to do, or favourite things " he said.

" Sounds cliché " I said and lean my body sideways against the wall.

I close my eyes and try to get some rest because I did woke up really early and a little sleepy.

" We'll be arriving soon "

I sigh in annoyance and open my eyes to glare at him but cut it short as I sit up straight. I look down at my hands and fiddle with my finger where the ring would be.

" The queen will give her son the zodiac heirloom ring which is passed down for centuries, you will know he picks you when you receive it from him " he said.

I can't imagine being married this early

" It will get easier in the future and adapt to the change "

" Does it have to be this way? " I asked.

" Your not the first to oppose this arrangement " I look up at him with furrowed eyebrows.

" Many heirs in the past have done things such as crimes to prevent it, but there's no way out of it " he said.

" Not a single one? " I asked, he shake head his head, I sigh.

" This is only the beginning, the process will take months, this will be done slowly and step by step– "

" Yeah I get it! " I snap at him, he keeps the same expression and I turn away.

" Don't need to remind me every second " I said.

My hands is in a fist on my lap and just resting there, trying not to curl and wrinkle my dress. I ended up just leaning back against the wall of this carriage and fold my arms across my chest but it didn't take long for the old crone to lean forward and pull me back up. I didn't say anything and stay still to where he has me and only move my eyes towards the window.

Seeing how the environment has changed to a familiar one, we're going up a hill and it's to the palace.

" A last reminder "

I avert my eyes away from the outside to gramps, showing my grumpy expression, I just look at him sternly.

" This is for our safety "

The carriage stops and he gets up first as the door opens from the outside, gramps climb down the carriage and I sit here taking a deep breath.
