Mikha's POV:

Ahhhh! woaahh! Let's go Lady smashers!

The sound of the crowd, the cheers, sound of the shoes screeching from the floor. Everything was in slow motion.  23-24 is the score and my team is leading.

The opponent started to serve.

A perfect received by our libero.

A split second eye contact with my team's setter. With all the trust on her eyes, I knew that I have to end this game.

A set from behind. Back row attack.

My teammates were shouting their lungs out. Everyone's crying, not because of losing the game but because of joy.

Commentator: "Our MVP finals. Please give her a round of applause, the scoring machine, back-to-back MVP and finals MVP. Our team captain, Mikhaela Janna Lim!"

Everyone are all proud. Even our team's opponent were happy, having the opportunity of stepping in the finals is a big achievement as a volleyball player.

Mommy: "Congratulations my Janna! You did great, bunso. Mommy is so proud of you, I am proud of you. We're proud of you!" My mom hugged me like there's no tomorrow, argh best feeling.

Pat: "O to the M to the G! congratulations Mikhaela the kapitana!" Syempre 'di papatalo si ate, baka cheerleader yan.

"Thank you ate Biancs!"

Enzo: "That back row attack was on fire, Janna! I am so proud of you." Then she messes with my hair that I really hate, hays, but I still love him.

"Thank you kuya Enzo and please not my hair again."

Daddy: "Congratulations, baby girl! I think this calls for a celebration. Go invite your teammates and coaches. Let's have some dinner. Daddy's treat!" Lastly, dad hugged me.

"Thank you dad, ate, kuya, and mom!"

Then everything went black. Everything went blurry, Mommy, Ate, and Kuya are slowly fading away by my sight.

"What's happening?! Mom? Where are you going? Kuya? Ate? Where are you guys?! What's happening? Asan kayo?"

"Mommy! Ate! Kuya!"

"Mommy! Ate! Kuya!"

"Mommy! Ate! Kuya!"

"Mommy! Ate! Kuya!"

I woke up in the middle of the night once again, it's been countless times already. I can't even keep track anymore, but every day, I wish I could erase that from my mind. However, a part of me also wants that nightmare because it's the last memory I have with Ate, Kuya, and Nommy.

Every midnight, I wake up due to a haunting nightmare from the past. I wake up crying.

I wake up with the memory of the three most important people in my life disappearing in an instant. It's been four years, but the pain from the past still feels fresh. And up to now, there's still no evidence about their deaths.

Four years ago, my family was the definition of happiness to me. The Lim family was well-regarded, known for establishing universities across different parts of the Philippines. But when my father entered government service, that's when our lives took a turn for the worse.
