Thankfully, the doctor had given the all clear and right after he left, Jungkook had started packing all his belongings. There wasn't a lot of time to get from the hospital to Heathrow airport, but if he left within the next ten minutes, he'd be fine.
His best friend hadn't shown up yet, but there was no time to wait for her.
I'll send her a text once I'm out of here.
Jungkook looked through the bag he had found with clothes last night. Whereas he usually preferred his clothes to be black or at least dark, she seemed to like more colorful clothes. He decided on an army green pants with a light blue shirt that read '(p)awesome!' on the front. It made him chuckle, because it instantly told him a little more about her love for animals, in this case, cats.
He glanced at himself in the mirror, nodding approvingly and then turned back to his bag to find her wallet and something to tie her hair with.
Last night, he had used her credit card to book a flight to Oslo for later today. While doing so, he'd felt guilty, constantly repeating inside his mind that he would find a way to pay her back. He then went on to check how much cash she had in her wallet. He counted a few English pounds which wouldn't be enough to pay for a taxi. But he did find a public transportation card, which had made his heart skip a beat. It had been a long time since he'd used public transportation and part of him was really looking forward to experiencing that as a normal person. Someone who wouldn't be recognized.
He glanced at himself in the mirror. And looking like her, he was a normal person. He'd fit right in. No one would recognize him. No one would bother him. He'd be just like anyone else.
Once ready to go, he glanced at her phone and his lips twitched into a half smile. As promised, she sent him a text with the phone number. At least now he had a way to reach her. Relief had washed over him, the moment that text appeared.
She doesn't want this situation any more than I do.
Which made him wonder why they both ended up here, trapped in each other's bodies. What was the reasoning behind it? This was something you'd only see in fantasy movies, never in real life. So, why did it happen to them? What made them so special?
Jungkook checked the time. It was about fifteen minutes before visiting hours would start. Sure, he could wait for her best friend to arrive, but there was a chance she'd stop him, or at least slow him down. He didn't have time to wait for her and tell her his plans. She would absolutely not agree to him flying to Oslo.
I can't wait for her. I have to go, before she gets here.
Taking one last look around the room to make sure he hadn't forgotten anything, he then turned and walked out.
It was a weird experience, walking outside and not having anyone recognize him. He saw several people who either wore BTS merch or were talking about BTS-related subjects, but none looked up at him as he walked passed.
So this is what it feels like to be a normal, not famous person.
Based on the information he'd found online there was a direct metro line from the hospital to the airport. Since Jungkook wasn't used to traveling by himself, that fact had pleased him. The only thing he needed to do was get on the right metro.
In her wallet he'd found a public transportation card, and as he held it in front of the scanner, he prayed there was enough money left on it so he didn't have to charge it somehow. The act of charging was a completely new experience to him, which he'd rather not live through while being her.
Fortunately, the doors opened for him and he entered the metro station. Finding the right metro was the next step, but that turned out to be super easy. And the metro arrived after only 2 minutes waiting time.
