Chapter 26: Request

(Twilight's side, earlier.)

      "ATE, you're going to school na?"

I look behind me and there I saw my little brother wearing his pajama. Kakagising pa lang niya at bahagyang kinukusot pa niya ang mata.

My little brother look so adorable!

"Uhuh, why?" I asked.

"Uhm..." He's being hesitant. I sighed and walked towards him then held his shoulder.

"Come on, what is it?" I gave him an assured smile. "Tell me,"

"I... uhm.. I'm curious about your twin, ate. I want to know more about her." He confidently said. Oh, I knew it. I smiled as I patted his head and nodded.

"Don't worry, I'll talk to your ate Kode to meet you." I muttered.

"Really?! Thank you, ate Twilight!" He exclaimed and hugged me.

It's good kasi hindi siya naging matanong noong unang makita niya si Kode. I'm glad that Louen grew up to understand every situations.

"Louen! There you are."

I was stunned after hearing my mom's voice. Tumayo ako ng tuwid. I gave my little brother a small smile and bid my goodbye before I turned my back. "I'll go now, okay? Bye."

I was about to walk when my mom called my name that made me stop.

"Twilight, let's talk." she commanded. I sighed and nodded weakly as I faced them.

"Yaya, Melda, " tawag nito agad naman lumapit si yaya Melda.

"Louen, baby, go to your yaya and eat your breakfast. Okay?"

He nodded and cheerfully walk away with Yaya Melda. I can't help but to smile watching him. However, when my gaze went to mommy, my smile faded. She was now staring at me with her blank expression. I suddenly felt nervousness inside me.

"Come to my library." She said, full of authority before she walked.  Tahimik naman akong sumunod sa kanya.

"Do we have a problem? Hmm, Twilight? Lately, I've noticed that you're ignoring me." She straightforwardly said nang makapasok kami sa Library.

Pinagkapit ko ang kamay ko at itinungo ang ulo. "None po."

It's been three days since I..... ignore mommy.

       AFTER THE EVENT, I talked to Echo when he arrived at the campus.

"Is she okay?" I asked and he nodded.

"Thank god." I felt relief because she's fine now. I am honestly worried when Zia said that my twin's trauma/phobia attacks again out of nowhere.

"Bakit? Ano ba talagang nangyari, Echo? Wala naman siya sa pool, right? So, how?" sunod-sunod kong tanong. I'm overthinking again. Pinakalma naman niya ako at pinaupo sa bench.

"This time, hindi na sa pool siya natakot." He uttered.

I looked at him, confused. "What? S-saan na?"

"It's your mom." I stunned.

What? Natatakot si Twin kay mommy? How is it possible?

"I don't know if I should tell you this but..." Echo told me, I can see hesitant in his eyes.

"Echo, please... Tell me. Bakit kay mommy?" I begged.
